Well as I'm £140 in credit with YE I could cancel my direct debit as it will easily cover my £56 monthly charge. I wonder if this will just create problems getting my credit (which will then be about £84) back from SP though?

It shouldn't be a problem to cancel your YE direct debit and this could be done just before your next payment. SP will set up its own direct debit, if you cancel this bear in mind you'll pay a slightly higher rate for your energy. You may find SP won't refund you by bank transfer if you cancel it, but you should still be able to get a cheque. No credit will be refunded until the final YE bills are issued, and that could take some time.steveg872 said:Well as I'm £140 in credit with YE I could cancel my direct debit as it will easily cover my £56 monthly charge. Finally showing some details in my SP account, showing tht my switch is in progress from YE. They have quoted that "We expect to start your supply on 30th December, 2020." So I am sort of hoping that at least I will be charged at my old YE tariff till then, does anyone know if this is correct?.
Under the Tariff Details they are quoting "Energy Exclusive" with a code underneath of "caveats ERC_FIXED_E23B ERC_FIXED_E23B", but still not displaying any actual figures anywhere or any documentation, which is a shame, but hopefully soon.1 -
How do you access your SP account? I haven't been given any login details.Chris_Cross said:Finally showing some details in my SP account0 -

They should be able to take over the supply well before 30th December (fingers crossed).See "Energy Exclusive Online" (Available to former Yorkshire Energy customers only)

See post just above yours for how to find details of the tariff. I've received no further communication since the email asking to confirm details and a meter read.boysim344 said:Hi all, has anyone recieved anything from SP, e-mail or letter about what tarrif we are on, this could be costing a fortune . If you've previously been a SP customer, your online account might still be active. I tried getting into mine, but it looks like it no longer exists - it was a good 8 years ago I was last a SP customer!gsmh said:

I used them back in 2017, so I guess they keep accounts open for a few years as I was able to login with my old details. They hadn't supplied me any new details. First time I noticed today that the YE switch was active, so must have been added some time on Friday.gsmh said:

What a load of (insert whatever you like). How the heck it takes up to 31 Dec to complete the switch is beyond me.
Looking at around an extra £25 this month in cost, compared to my YE tariff
I was a customer of SP around 5 years ago, and my online account was still active - only with them about 4 months and intend on being with them for a lot less this time around.
I cannot apply for a switch until the start of the new year - then a 3-week wait for the new switch to start - so around 7 weeks paying higher prices.
