So is Neon Reef's claim that they are waiting for electric meter details from the industry, since requesting them on 25 Jan, valid? Is this delay nationwide or by region? Issue at industry end or supplier? From what I read there seems to be some inconsistency.0

Are the readings you gave at weekend showing in your Avro account? My electric readings weren't showing, so I entered the same readings again, this seemed to force the bill to be generated.bagand96 said:
I switched to Avro last month. Provided opening readings to them as normal. These appeared fairly quickly in my Avro account along with the correct meter numbers (from memory gas took a few days longer). Scottish Power generated a final bill quickly with the correct readings, although I had provided them the same readings when they emailed asking.locky123 said:To those that have successfully switched from SP, has your new supplier had any delays in getting your meter details from the industry? My new electric supply with Neon Reef started on 22 Jan but they cannot fully set up my account due to not receiving my meter details, preventing any meter readings being submitted online. I've sent emails to confirm opening reading, which have been acknowledged.
Haven't had my first bill from Avro yet, that will be the last step to check it all went OK. I gave them my first monthly readings at the weekend, no statement yet although they do say it can take upto 5 working days. I do miss the YE and Tonik days of giving meter readings and getting a bill within minutes! This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Just in contrast to what other have been saying - I got my YE final bill 3 weeks ago today. It still hasn't been credited to my SP account

Yeah all the readings are showing for gas and electric. Both the opening readings and the ones from the weekend.Tharweb said:

The latest reply from SP to my original email sent to them (on 23rd Feb)I am writing further to our e-mail sent to you on 25th February 2021 (Basic confirmation of receipt of my email sent on 23rd Feb). I would like to reassure that we are still working hard (really?) to gain further information regarding your enquiry (re Refund of YE credit) and we hope to have an update for you within the next 5 working days (What is the betting that SP states that SP are waiting from information from the administrators?)So I give it to mid-March and then the cycle starts again.......I will not give up

SP statement is about £180 and I'm owned about £180 from YE, I've signed up to Avro so hoping it's all sorted as the date for that is 2 weeks away. They never replied to my last email which was quering the answer to my previous email,0

Octopus is still waiting for my opening readings to be validated, it's been 6 weeks since my supply start date and nearly 7 weeks since I provided the opening readings. It seems like the validation process is not fit for purpose since there is a regulatory requirement for the losing supplier to produce a final bill using validated readings within 6 weeks of a switch taking place.locky123 said:So is Neon Reef's claim that they are waiting for electric meter details from the industry, since requesting them on 25 Jan, valid? Reading all these comments it's disheartening that SP don't seems to be able to process meter readings properly. I'm still awaiting them correcting my gas reading for the 5/12/20, that's 3 months. Still awaiting them replying to my stage 1 complaint, they won't let you raise a stage 2 complaint unless you have a reference no.
4 days to my final meter reading when I exit SP. I certainly won't be using them again - unless they become my SoLR !!
Still awaiting my YE bill & £506. 74,000 ex-customers to process, it's certainly not quick.0 -
I take it that Octopus have not raised a statement with you yet? What is their take on your read validation (assuming that you have been in contact with them)?masonic said:Octopus is still waiting for my opening readings to be validated, it's been 6 weeks since my supply start date and nearly 7 weeks since I provided the opening readings. They have also told me they are unable to follow up with the meter validation company until 6 weeks after the supply start date (so I'll be chasing them to do so now this has passed). They did also mention that reads can sometimes get lost, presumably the data collector engraves them in cuneiform script into stone tablets and sometimes drops them when preparing the abacus for the calculation.
