Are YE administrators still going through final bills? It's been over two months and I still haven't had anything yet. Really shocking, just want my £72 credit!
Yes, I've not heard anything. I reckon my credit will be more than £200.

    Questions:
1 Are other people paying the deemed tariff by DD or has everyone been put on the pay quarterly (more expensive version of the tariff)
    2. Has anyone else had SP try this on with them? What happened?
I have had exactly this. Despite being told by CS in early December not to worry and I could add DD details as soon as the account was set up, when they finally got to that point the story from SP had changed and I'm stuck on Quarterly, which is actually not quarterly - I had 2 bills in 2 weeks!
The list of other complaints/failings is very long.

Funny how 90% of 'errors' are always in their favour.../cynical.
    So very true!
There will be reporting bias to take account of there which would be hard to quantify.

It's not that common to see people reporting errors in their favour, although someone did report a £900 meter error their way recently!

If people gave their readings around 6th December as requested then there would be no estimated bills.

I gave SP my meter readings, as asked, on 6th December, as well as direct debit details. When I got my final Yorkshire Energy bill, that was based on the correct (gas) final reading, yet my SP initial reading was different and wrong, despite me giving them the reading and them managing to pass the correct reading to YE. They also claimed this was a smart meter reading; there is no way they could have read my smart meter on 6 Dec. Yorkshire Energy weren't set up to read my smart meter remotely, I supplied readings each month. It seems to be the gas reads that are causing more problems, me electricity reading was fine (and SP correctly has that down as a customer reading). When I queried it they asked to see photographic evidence. I supplied this and asked to see the evidence of their reading. Clearly I never got any, but they did correct the reading without apologising.

Make a complaint via the website. Put in the message what you were told (probably the same as me) and tell them to re-issue the bills from 6th December to now using the DD version of Energy Exclusive. Also be aware the people on the end of the phones will not be aware of any email correspondence you have with the 'back-office' as they refer to them. The people on the phone will try and bully/railroad you into accepting you have to be on the pay quarterly version of Energy Exclusive. You tell them they've had your DD details for ages and it's only their delay in creating your account that has stopped your DD details being added to the account. They come up with a cover story that at first they offered people the DD option but now only the pay quarterly version is offered. Tell them it's their delay that caused the problem so they must sort it out and re-issue bills on the version of the tariff you were told you would be on.

........................SP collected their final bill amount on the 22nd Feb
I have left SP but left the DD running why can't SP just pay my credit into my bank account instead of sending a cheque
I mentioned in a post a while ago, they've collected the final bill, I've left the DD in place, the credit has appeared in "My Account" and it says it will be paid to the bank account, quote "As your account’s in credit, we’ll automatically refund your balance into your bank account. If you cancel your Direct Debit, we’ll send you a cheque."
So we wait to see if it is!

    Thanks for the info.

As I posted yesterday, I left my SP DD active after switching and the final bill was taken. I received my YE refund by bank transfer.

we have around 600 to come back. will certainly be leaving at the first opportunity. in the meantime it is the ombudsman for us.

despite phoning weekly we get the 'it will be two weeks' line. they have been saying that since early january. here we are nearly in march.

    appalling company.

That will be a bit of a waste of time. "Ombudsman Services will not investigate complaints against a supplier that has ceased trading as the supplier will not able to implement remedies or provide financial awards to consumers."

So it looks like I'm free from Scottish power. Had my YE credit from Scottish power paid into my back account yesterday via BACS.
