TrustPilot? Lol! It's mostly those with an axe to grind who post on there. Green is highly thought of, but I didn't get on with them at all. I make my own judgements. Neon Reef told me how much my direct debit would be and it was higher than necessary. I sent them a message on Saturday afternoon, got a response, and by Sunday afternoon the direct debit had been reduced to fit my usage better. That conversation would have taken an inordinate amount of time with Green. I'm not sure what they could have done better, to be honest. This all happened at the weekend too.

They are not Up but a sister company to UP (common directors), separate legal entity and have their own supply licence.

So far during the 6 months my stepdaughter has been with them they have been fine ..no telephone contact but quick chat and email responses. I'm moving my electric to them (having been YE to SP to Simplicity to BG Evolve through 2 SOLRs) and was on chat this morning with a very good and quick response to my issue (industry rejection as I'd tried jumping too early).

I'm just hoping the numbers they seem to be attracting from the various recent SOLRs don't swamp them although given they've just started a referral scheme suggests that they are prepared for a ramping up anyway.   Unless you go with one of the big 7 or 8 then it's all a gamble anyway.

Like gmsh, I've gone to green and am holding on judgement just yet, my final bill from SP is horrendous! twice as much as I would have payed with Yorkshire obviously the "keep your payments the same" was just a ruse and there "best tariff" claim is just a rip off, not paying much more with Green than Yorkshire but will keep a close eye on if they try to up my DD as I have solar and battery storage so summer months usage is far lower that most but winter is as normal. I imagine there will be a couple of phone calls to get them straight.
Their mobile app is absolute pants, to set up as you need a mobile email account to use it, I don't and gave up the will to live trying to set it up, but the web site version seems to work well.
    Time will tell.

I've gone to neon reef for electricity, it's still underway. Scottish power still haven't set up my gas, is anyone else in the same boat? They are my supplier on the database but have not put my opening reading in.
If they are your supplier on the database you could start a switch now.

My opening Gas reading never showed in my account.  Just showed 0 and last reading some time in 1902?!  But my switch away was successful.   A week later SP sent me final bill which was accurate including the Gas readings. So even though they never displayed in my account, SP did have them and billed with them.
  • Just received an email from SP to state my internet account is now ready, I’ve been using the account for the last 3 weeks or more. Lol
To be fair SP haven’t been that bad regarding communication and the one phone call I had to male, was answered quickly and dealt with efficiently.

I have now changed to octopus.

SP have finally billed me for electricity, but even though it's a final bill it's an estimate and a whopping 271 unit too high from the opening read I gave avro.

They've had three weeks to get actual readings.

It seems they are not capable of receiving the readings sent by the new supplier. Fortunately this is a task that can be done quite efficiently via live chat.

I logged into my SP account apparently I have a bill from the 8th Feb but cannot see it at all.
    What a joke.
I am relenting going to phone them today review the meter readings from December to when the account was switched to Avro on the 25th. I don't want to but SP clearly are absolutely rubbish when it comes to billing and the account is useless in actually telling me information.
  • Got this in an email last night.  I left SP 3 weeks ago and got my final bill 2 weeks ago.  You couldn't make it up

Good news - your ScottishPower account is ready
