If it were a regulatory requirement then there is a case to be made for it coming off the final bills. Though, as you say, I won't be holding my breath.
My understanding is that SP (as the SoLR) would have to cover any shortfall once final billing is done, since our credit balances are protected. The challenge here would be getting that £30 onto our balance in the first place.
It is a regulatory requirement, but there are two questions that need to be answered:
    1) Is there an exemption for transfers to SoLR (does it even count as a switch)
    2) When is a transfer to SoLR deemed completed
As well as the 6 week time limit for final bills, there is also a 15 working day time limit for a switch to complete.
Not sure on 1), but I suspect that there is.
On 2), it would presumably be deemed to complete on the date the billing switches (so from 6/12/20, even if the new SP account were not fully set up by that date?
Anyway, they must be reading this thread, as I got my final bill tonight too.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I too have had my final YE bill tonight, even an email from them just over an hour ago about it, it's got the correct readings as provided by SP ! No credit added to my SP account (yet). If SP take the "standard" DD on the 7th, and the YE credit gets added before the 16th, I shall owe them the grand total of £3.59 on the 16th :) So hopefully then that will be that!

If there is an exemption (agree with you there probably is), then 2) becomes irrelevant. For normal switches, the transfer is deemed completed when the new supplier is registered on the national database. For me, that would be 30th December, which means I received my final YE bill just in the nick of time, but SP narrowly failed to complete the transfer within the allowed 15 working days. I don't think I'll be pursuing SP for the delay in claiming my supply unless I have a good reason to complain about something else (so far so good).

SP finally got around to telling me my new account has been set up and given me details of my new DD.
Despite both my Electricity and Gas being transferred to SP and the National Meter databases showing that SP tell me that they supply only my gas.  Not only that but they have estimated my annual usage as 2,400 KWh rather than the more accurate 24,000 KWh.
Not an auspicious start but confirmation of just how useless they are.

On the plus side, instead of an expected DD monthly payment of £140, SP are only going to charge me £46.  And I get my Electricity free.  So not all bad !!!!

I wonder how they are determining the order for creating final bills as no sign here yet (although I did note this morning the Your Tariff section has disappeared from my YE account)

Another happy punter here: final YE bill received with closing reading matching SP's opening one, move from SP to Neon Reef complete. and final SP bill received too.
We have about £50 credit from YE due, don't really mind if SP deduct that from their balance due or send a cheque.

No movement what so ever on final bill from YE or bill from SP still shows my credit balance on YE account and nothing on SP account

I can’t log into my account on the YE website.  So not sure if my final bill has been generated.  Anyone else not able to login?

I've just logged into mine, no bill as yet. Maybe they're working on yours?
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!
