Whoop whoop. I've just got my closing bill from YE! The end is in sight.
How was this bill delivered?  Direct to you via email?  Or through your SP account?  I switch at midnight so I'd appreciate knowing what to expect and how.  :)
It was an email from YE, with a link to log into the regular YE account. Displayed in the usual way.

May be worth checking your account.
Thanks for that info.  Just checked my YE account but no final bill/balance arising yet.  Good to know that progress is being made at the YE end.  :D
In fairness I have more faith in YE (or whatever's left of it) than SP. 😆

My farts hospitalize small children :o

Spotted NEO energy as massively cheaper but not going through all this palaver again after the issues with YE/SP.
My thoughts on Neo are in this thread .........

  • I have also got my final bill from YE.  I also have a bill from SP from 6.12 - 1.1
My elec end read with YP is 9354.  My start read with SP is 9344.  I gave an opening read to SP of 9354.
Not sure if I can be bothered chasing up for £1.60, but do this to a lot of customers and it is a nice few quid in someone's pocket.

Well get SP to correct it then, otherwise you are paying twice for those 10 units. I don't think too many have had this problem.

As you may remember, I have already had 3 hours of phone calls with SP, due to them addressing bills to "The deceased of my name" at the address of my late friend, whom I helped massive in her final last few months, along with other things..  I am busy with work at the moment, free time is a luxury.  Not sure if £1.60 an hour is worth the hassle, as an hour seems to be the length of time I am always on the phone to them.

My sincere apologies, I hadn't remembered (although there was a very dull bell ringing at the back of my mind), but I have now you've reminded me!

SP clearly has a system that works through sending emails (albeit slowly). Since my last update yesterday, today I received a "Your switch is now complete" email ......"View your progress tracker" ...... blah blah blah. No detail change to the account since yesterday though!
  • Not been on these boards for years, but having such problems with the forced transfer from YE to SP that I thought I'd check here. I see that I'm not alone. I could really do without this, and I am not impressed with their suggested tariff at all. I'm dreading my first bill - if SP ever get around to issuing one. Their customer service is effectively non-existent, and their server must be an early wind-up model.

You are certainly right about the server (never mind their processes). Check on the national databases if your supplies are registered to SP, if so you can start a switch. Have you got an account number? If you responded to the December 7th email for meter reads and DD then the account number will be the DD reference on your bank acount. You can then set up an on-line account and check what details are showing and if they are correct etc.
