Well it was only a couple of weeks ago I got account numbers for self and daughter. YE wanted daughter to pay £95 a month so she paid £105. I was to pay £39 so paid £45. At close of business she was about £281 ahead and I was £117 ahead. Her first bill about a week ago was £1,160!! Said that was wrong and quoted £92 as we have never stopped the DDs. Bill is -£236 for her...thats a long way off £92 and -£100 for me. Online bill for her was in wrong address I never heard of. Got email n that gave yet another diff address. I have a severe hearing loss n speech defect....they refused to answer all requests for what reasonable adjustments they were making for me as disabled customer as per Equality Act 2010. Messages on fb messenger were like robot ones. Adviser refused to get supervisor n kept me on there with same repeating message for 2 hrs till close of business. Next adviser following day ignored me totally. They are totally incompetent!!! I an vulnerable as well, but they have zero concern. Did anyone get the so called welcome pack cos i haven't. I really believe all they are trying to do is screw a full quarter bill out of every single YE victim. NO ONE, even on here is standing our corner. GNE has now gone belly up and on the last TV show, Martin Lewis was telling everyone not to worry.....THAT IS BAD ADVICE cos we have been to hell and back so far with this appalling company. There is supposed to be someone calling here tomorrow for speak to daughter. Now what will it be? A LIE as they won't ring and say they have or A PACK OF LIES saying its all fixed? Dunno about you but after a series of family deaths and rifts and other issues, plus Covid and THIS FOUL BEHAVIOUR on top, we are at breaking point....No one is listening except us, to each other and THAT my friends is getting us nowhere.

@winniethewitch Oh dear, you've obviously had a very bad experience. Let's hope things improve from now on. Luckily not all of us have had such bad experiences. Having read all the issues from the start of this thread, I've tried to avoid banging my head against a wall. I don't know what happened to your DD's, but SP did say that initial DD's would be the same as our YE ones. They just haven't taken many yet as their processes have been very slow setting up our accounts. I've now left SP so just in the stages of waiting for final billing, as per my post earlier, final billing/credit from YE will likely be a couple more weeks before it hits SP accounts.

Laugh (well not really), the wheels of their abysmal "My Account" software grind slowly along. Shortly after my last update I had an SP email asking for my final meter reading, even though they shouldn't be, because the opening meter reading is provided by the new supplier as the closing reading to SP! However I did so, I thought well what harm might it do
Anyway I've given them the same reading as I gave as the Neon Reef opening reading, so we'll see how long this all takes to progress

SP's servers will be under pressure at the moment, so will be hit and miss; like any other website.
I spoke to SP yesterday, to get the decent contract prices you need to "switch" via a 3rd party site (eg MSE or others), then although there is no switch from suppliers, SP then update the account to the new one; so a little hassle but otherwise you will only be offered expensive rates rather than "broker" rates.
When you get your billing, take into account YE last billed early November; so you owe them funds from then to 6 December; then SP from 6 December to now.0 -

I've finally got my electricity showing in my SP account too, and it seems they've taken a best guess at the start date for 6 Dec (based on the last YE reading toward the end of November). So I hope that counts as the last reading fed back to YE too otherwise I'll be paying twice.
I've run a comparison on MSE's Cheap Energy Club and the cheapest tariff is only about £10 less than this current SP one. Both of which are around £200 more than I was paying under YE.
Is there anything else we can do to try and get a cheaper price? I see Octopus energy give a £50 referral credit but I don't want smart meters (don't want any workmen in the house as my partner is classed as extremely clinicial vulnerable).

Spotted NEO energy as massively cheaper but not going through all this palaver again after the issues with YE/SP.0 -

In fact, they are asking people to register their interest in getting one fitted and they seem to be only just keeping up with demand from people who want one. I've been on the waiting list for almost a month so far.0
