SP have just been landed with 75,000 accounts and you're off. Good luck! Switch again to another cowboy. Just one thing I have had from SP is their SuperSaver rates for the last goodness knows how many years, always very competitive and of coure the WHD! Always had good service! My current rate is one of the best on the market!
So far they have:- questioned the very existence of my electricity meter and insisted I send them a photo of it;
- managed to 'lose' my opening electricity reading three times;
- don't seem to be able to access my smart meter for my current elecricity reading (although they can access my gas reading from my smart meter which, of course, is transmitted via my non-existent electricity smart meter); and
- they have a website that, at best, is barely alive and often dead.
So you can go elsewhere and believe what the tv advert from the your stitched dot con site tells you and then in another year end up in a mess again? Simon Says? But I will not dissuade you from going either, but just point out that my current deal, SuperSaver December 2021 B3 from SP is very competive, as I showed yesterday! Soon that your stitched dot con site will offer me another deal from SP, normally this is around April time! If you actually look, you may find one for you as well!goatfaced said:Blackbeard hasn't the WHD stopped now?
SP were a shambles with that too, by the way. Different criteria when applying to what they list on their website for the broader group. Easily misconstrued. I applied but who knows if I can get it. I was able to tick boxes for a person in the house being on universal credit and a person being in education. Not sure why that qualifies us though as the child does not get free school meals!DerwentMailman said:Do not forget that your current tariff is not available (never was) to those that were put onto the SOLR deemed contract of SP. Not at all sure that lumping all other suppliers as being 'cowboys' is particularly helpful. Perhaps the firm I am switching to (Avro) will prove to be cowboys (just like So ???) and just like YE if I understand you correctly, but at least it is my choice and I have made this using a range of different reviews/sources/forums etc. I based my decision on a combination of price, an exit-free tariff and (hopefully) good customer service. Only time will tell if I have moved to another (Ofgem regulated) cowboy
Never use the in house SP checker on their accounts page!

I see Octopus energy give a £50 referral credit but I don't want smart meters (don't want any workmen in the house as my partner is classed as extremely clinicial vulnerable).Octopus aren't pressuring anyone to get a smart meter. In fact, they are asking people to register their interest in getting one fitted and they seem to be only just keeping up with demand from people who want one. I've been on the waiting list for almost a month so far.
All signed up now, didn’t go down the referral route as it seemed cheaper going through a comparison site.0 -
Give them time to get all the YE customers up and running. Regsister on the Your Stitched dot con website with your dteails it will ping you when a tarrif is available! You have to move quick as they do not hang around very long!0

Prices are only going one way ATM and those who have not yet jumped ship may well feel inclined to stay with SP at least for the short term.
Annoyingly I can't set Simple and SuperPremium in cheap energy club as they haven't added the tariff and so I've switched it back to my YE tariff for now, if they can save me money from that then I'm switching.

The positive is that YE have closed on the readings I provided SP on 7th December. The final bill is within pennies of what I'd calculated.
Switched both fuels to E.On on 25th Jan, and provided start readings, so SP can, go through the proper validation channels. I ignored SP's request for final readings.
Will be interesting to see what SP do with their final bill, and how quickly.My farts hospitalize small children0 -

May be worth checking your YE account.
