Checked mine and everything still the same (for now). TBH I'm not sure what to believe is happening behind the scenes any more. Be sure to keep us all posted as to whether this translates into an updated SP account.BedrockFred said:Just checked my old YE account it shows no bills or payments and the balance now shows zero
Does this mean SP have had the final bill and it's being processed onto my old SP account .........0 -

Mine is showing as Avro on both gas and electricity now. To note everyone the Avro rates have increased at least directly.the standing charge was up from 16p per day to 22 per day when I last checked for my parents.
I also have the same email as @BedrockFred and thought it was disgusting from SP frankly. Avro were up front and said don't bother as well...says it all really. SP can have 6 weeks to sort their farce out behind the scenes.
The whole process has been shambolic from start to finish, so I expect the bill side to be a) eyewatering b) probably wrong somewhere along the line.
As for YE still waiting, but I am in no rush. My final estimated bill was the 7th December from them, I just left the balance in there.0 -
It initially cropped up because some poor YE to SP people were migrating (or had done) to one of the latest companies to go bust.BedrockFred said:

Just shows how bad SP's account software is, mine is no better. I get "Something has gone wrong" on the clicks that have nothing BUT here is today's joke - Email from SP "Good news - your ScottishPower account is ready" ......"We're pleased to let you know that your transfer from Yorkshire Energy to ScottishPower is complete."BedrockFred said:

Really??
Apart from a minor change in layout and asking me not to cancel my DD (of which there's no details except at the bank) because I'm leaving, there is absolutely no further information in the account. It still only shows the last meter reading provided (& not the opening one, nor any energy usage!). No change in my YE account either.
Well my move to my new supplier is due to complete tomorrow, so we'll see how long this mess goes on

I have today registered a complaint with OFGEM about their processes that resulted in Scottish Power being appointed.Phones4Chris said:
There are three key problems here. The way things work at present are that OFGEM asks energy providers to submit an offer/proposals for the takeover from a supplier that's gone bust. OFGEM has to appoint one, and the tariffs used will be an agreement between OFGEM and the supplier. The supplier has to have a "workable" tariff otherwise it's not worth them bothering - the tariff from the "bust" supplier was likely to have been unsustainable. If no supplier "volunteered", OFGEM has to "appoint" one and the tariff on "offer" is likely to be even more expensive.mel54 said:................ I have found that this is the 3rd time that Ofgem has awarded them the contract as SOLR - Extra Energy in November 2018 (108,000 customers), Tonik Energy in October 2020 (130,000 customers) and YE in December 2020 (74,000 customers) - just read the customer reviews from all 3 companies' ex-customers about SP dragging their feet on transfers, refunds for a/cs in credit, etc, etc., with no let up for months and months. Literally thousands upon thousands of unhappy customers - anyone recognise a pattern here? All 3 SOLR awards to SP have the same modus operandi, and Ofgem are just sitting back and watching us all go through hell. ................
The second key problem is how quickly the national databases are updated to show the SoLR as your supplier, that's obviously dependent on the SoLR, the national databases and to a degree OFGEM.
The third key problem is that until meter readings from the date the SoLR started are passed back to the "bust" supplier (obviously dependent mainly on SoLR's efficiency as well as customers submitting readings when requested) the Administrators can't do anything to generate final bills - that last bit is not under the control of SP or OFGEM!
I have a slight, notice I said slight, sympathy for SP as their procedures are somewhat lacking, they've had to cope with 130K+108K+74K SoLR customers in a short space of time with a number of factors they can't control but MANY of those are down to the way OFGEM's general and SoLR rules are set up, and at the end of the day, OFGEM's rules are Not Fit for Purpose. I submitted a formal complaint about their rules in the latter part of December and they've told me I will get a decision soon.
Assuming I don't get a satisfactory response from them, I will, of course, escalate it to the Parliamnetary and Health Service Ombudsman via my MP.0 -
Really? You must have a lot of time on your hands. It is what it is and at least I was able to finalise a switch within a month or so. Would you rather your supplies just stop while you do the legwork to find another supplier, then try and get your credit back from the administrators? For all its faults the SoLR process is pretty slick IMO.The_Hawk said:Assuming I don't get a satisfactory response from them, I will, of course, escalate it to the Parliamnetary and Health Service Ombudsman via my MP.2 -
Seems like your a few days behind me exactly the same has happened to mePhones4Chris said:

Let mw predict. next you will have text and email asking for your final reading and a day or so later an email saying come back to SP we will give you £50 credit lol
I gave my final readings to my new supplier and am waiting on the final bill, my £200 credit on YE has vanished and all the bills and payment are also gone it shows a balance of 000.00 and no other useful information, just hope that is because YE administrators have passed the info to SP and I will need to wait who knows how long for it to appear at SP
