PS. "Energy Exclusive" has appeared on MSE Cheap Energy Club (I'm sure it wasn't there earlier). Having just received tariff and logon details for SP am a bit surprised about lack of deals... is staying with SP (variable) really an option...

My switch date is 25 January and I've given opening meter readings to my new gas/electric supplier. Should I give the same readings to SP? Would that help an accurate/speedy switch? Can SP stop the switch bearing in mind I've not paid them for any gas/electric since their YE takeover?

Personally that what's I've done as my switch completes tomorrow...at least that way they both have the readings and so hopefully helps the industry validation process. (It might also be an idea to supply both new supplier and SP with readings on 25th (or whatever date the switch actually completes ...although you may prefer that they use today's readings as presumably your new supplier is cheaper)rooster47 said:My switch date is 25 January and I've given opening meter readings to my new gas/electric supplier. You may find the opening readings SP are using are not correct (they still haven't recorded my opening gas one and the electric was based on the last monthly reading given to YE on 30 Nov rather than the 6 Dec ones I supplied to SP).1 -
why why do SP have so many tariffs?Like going into a restaurant and observing a too large menu imho.1

Yeh, got one of those 9 days ago. I've ignored it for the time being as I'm waiting until I've had the full experienceShedman said:Any one else get one of these emails....
Can't possibly think of any suggestions for improvement as they're 100% already aren't they 🤣

I'm asking myself the same question, especially if the SP tariff is set for 6 months as it's SOLR (as I've read on this thread). SP is definitely more than YE, but then all the current deals are higher. Based on our typical December energy usage SP doesn't actually come out too bad on price. That changes when our gas usage reduces when the heating isn't needed, so I might sit tight for a few months and see out the coldest weather. I may live to regret that if those fixed deals are pulled and replaced by more expensive options.grumpycrab said:PS. Nothing on my YE account yet. My meter reading page disappeared ages ago, but I'm expecting any update to be visible on the account Balance page which I have a screen shot of just in case - shouldn't need it as I have saved copies of all the bills and the last DD was taken on the 1st Dec. (obviously on a bank statement as well) so I'm in credit. Obviously YE administrators are updating things overtime. I took a screen shot just now of my tariff page, price now only guaranteed until 5th Dec., no surprise there, - interesting as to where the 3 months has come from, but in any case nothing to get excited about because the rest and all other documentation shows 12 month fixed.GunJack said:
those 6 Dec readings did appear briefly on the YE account, just before the meter reading history disappeared completely (I stupidly forgot to screenshot it as thought it would be there for a couple of days), which is partly why I was getting so miffed with SP taking so long to get them showing on the SP account - the only way YE could show them was if they got them from SP!!!!!Phones4Chris said: Just waiting to see how long now before the reading appears on my YE account.
Hopefully, as someone mentioned earlier, the final YE bills start coming out next week and the credit to SP happens very soon after...

Despite leaving them yesterday, SP has emailed me today to let me know about my tariff and that my transfer from YE to SP is well underway. Better late than never I suppose.1

Hi Gelfunk,Monthly DDPhones4Chris said:
That is strange as none of those figures seem to appear in the pdf of the tariff that SP issued (linked from the FAQ page) either with or without VAT or monthly DD or quarterly credit! Maybe @Gelfuk has negotiated a special deal ??pallyman said:
Strange,i live in Norweb area and mine are gas Ur 2.767p kWh SC 23.33p per day Elec UR 15.779p kWh SC 20.77p per day?Gelfuk said:Scottish Power have finally given me my Energy Exclusive tariff details. For the Norweb area they are gas 2.987 per kwh/20.444 per day and elec 15.354 per kwh/19.866 per day.The Energy Exclusive tariff is not showing in the Cheap Energy club comparator, so as a workaround I selected Super saver Jan 2022 B3. For me with annual gas of 11300kwh and elec 4000kwh, the cost is within £7 per year. The bad news is that there doesn't seem to be much to be saved by switching. Utility Point and Simplicity could save me up to £81 per year, but their service is unrated. Next Is EON, saving a paltry £38 per year. It still might be worth moving to get on a fixed tariff for a year.I accept that these prices are a lot more that YE, but they are now history.I also remember being with GB Energy when they went bump and the Coop took them over. In those rosy days, the Coop honoured the GB Energy tariff for the rest of the term - and the switch was very quick! All prices include VAT at the appropriate rate which could change. Your bill or statement will show any VAT charges as a separate item.
Prices correct at 6th December 2020.

Same. It's clearly a variant of a mailmerge document based around a mailing list.0
