Be Very AfraidLooked at SP's website to see just what tariffs us ex YE's ,(Elec only), can look forward to - All very strange - After giving post code which is in the Eastern Region, it comes up with tariffs and annual cost, but it hasn't asked if I want Gas only, Electric only or both, nor asked for my consumption and doesn't show the price per Kwh or SC charge. So on to Citizen Advice - Will be moving on from Scot Power a.s.a.p, so it's the Standard Tariff at 17.165p per Kw with a 24.50p Standing Charge for meFor a quick escape I need a smooth transition from YE to SP, with no hiccups on Meter Reads/Debt or Credit and accurate billing,BUT, the Which evaluation of SP doesn't fill me with confidence.Bill Accuracy 2 Star - Bill Clarity 2Star - Cust. Service 2Star - etc In fact it's the same rating as Spark in every detail !0

I don't know if this will help at all in the long run, but the YE dashboard is still up and running, so I have inputted my meter reading today.0

A tip from those who have been involved in the switch to SP from Tonik when Tonik went bust is to email the Chief Executive at the first sign of problems, lack of communication, wrong information. The CEO is Keith Anderson and his email address is keith.anderson@scottishpower.com. Be ready for poor customer service (their webchat and some call centres are based in India and are even worse than the UK based ones) as their customer service is probably the lowest of all energy companies. You might also want to email Ofgem who made the decision to award the SoLR to SP -

My choices are starting a transfer today without waiting for the switch to SP or waiting but really not sure I want to wait
I know OFCOM say wait until your switched to SP but I have little faith in them or their advice really disappointed that they switch us to SP knowing full well how poor their customer service is0 -

The timing is terrible, nobody seems desperate for customers now.
I might have to go with a "no exit fee" holding tariff. The tariff you’ll move to will, in all likelihood, be Scottish Power’s Standard Variable Tariff or whatever SP call it these days. i.e. their most expensive.
To the best of my knowledge, all customers from defunct companies are, by default, moved across to the SoLR ‘Standard Variable Tariff’ because it ensures said newly rescued customers can instigate a switch to an energy company (or SoLR tariff) of their own choice without incurring ‘exit fees’. Standard Variable tariffs never have exit fees.
How long it will take before ex-YE customers are in a position to actually move away from ScottishPowers ‘Standard Variable Tariff’ I have no idea.
I was one of YE’s very first customers and never had a problem;...sorry to see them go. Their collapse doesn’t bode well for the rest of the ‘minnows’ (and their customers!) does it?

There's a welcome page for YE customers here
https://www.scottishpower.co.uk/solr/yorkshire-energy
Says domestic customers will be put on something called the 'Energy Exclusive tariff' - using Citizens Advice comparison site and posing as a SP customer there is a huge number of tariffs with 'exclusive' in the name so I'm not much the wiser as to which of these it will be, or whether it's even on that list yet.
By the way I have heard nothing from YE at all about this. Got the usual monthly email this morning asking for meter readings as the 6th is my regular date for submitting them. No mention at all of recent developments. If I hadn't seen the news elsewhere I' d still be unaware of what has happened.2 -

I am in the same boat as you- don't know which way to jump- now or later.
Reading through the Breeze thread, it appears that there was a problem with switching electricity, due to the national data base only being updated every 28 days, so once the switch to the SOla was complete ,people had to wait 28 days before they could switch to their preferred provider.1 -

Quote: ...“If you’re a domestic customer, you’ll move to our Energy Exclusive tariff - this is a tariff created specifically for former customers of Yorkshire Energy and provides some of our most competitive prices. We’ll shortly be sending you a personalised ‘welcome pack’ (via email or letter) which includes your tariff prices, payment details and some useful information to help you get the most from ScottishPower.”
That’s pretty good of SP to create a new exclusive tariff just for YE refugees;...I assume (perhaps wrongly!) the exclusive tariff doesn’t have ‘exit fees’.
Business customers will be moved to SP’s Standard Variable Tariff though.
