No one knows the shorter-term direction... Longer-term it's appearing to only go one way...

Approaching $62,000, another 2000ish and it's at an all-time high.

That was on 13th April 2021. Six months down the line, BTC seems to be at around $59,000

So it's gone basically nowhere in that time, other than down a lot and back up again.

    Need another "few months"?
    This will not age well

What are people's thoughts on Jamie Dimon's comments that bitcoin is worthless?

I think the "expected" ETF announcement is going to bring about a very fast all time high - there is loads of buzz about it.

If it does get officially approved next week I expect the price to rocket...I don't want to think about it being rejected!

    His opinion is worthless.

He's an old corrupt banker who stands to lose a lot, so it's natural he will be negative about it.

Maybe. He runs a bank with a balance sheet at over 5 times the whole crypto market total.  As you say he is corrupt so he is probably long bitcoin...
Just sell when he does 😁

This is interesting to look at..
  • I said a while back everyone should have some Bitcoin in their portfolio.
Tom Lee's research at Fundstrat shows that if you have 1% btc in your portfolio not only do you get more upside but it protects downside.
It's volatile, but it's upwardly volatile. You just have to stomach it and have it as part of a balanced portfolio.
