  • The app based account is definitely work in progress.

    I now have a message telling me my account (end date 31/12/21) is close to maturity and gives me a link for maturity instructions.

    I won't be wasting their staffs time with this glitch but just a heads-up.

    On another matter, my first deposit from last night showing fine so standing order set up for 1/12/20.
  • Has anyone had issues with the photo ID uploads? After taking a picture, the app keeps returning to the same screen. This can be overcome on the passport and driving license by uploading direct from the phone, but no luck on the 'selfie' part. Frustratingly the app is now stuck on a contact us page with no way out of it!

    Ah, this would appear to answer the question I raised with Tipton RS yesterday then as, to me, the term "calendar month" suggests that it starts on the first of each month and not monthly anniversary of opening.

    Being paid on first of each month (or last working day of the month if a weekend) this helps me greatly. 19th or 20th was rubbish for a payment day tbh

    App never asked me to upload a photo or ID document or anything.

    I assume it verified me electronically then.

    I'm waiting for the activation code though it will go to my home address first and then redirect to here so I'm not watching the postie!
    If both the paper-based and app-based accounts open it'll be worth a wee cheer.

    I applied via the app - got an account number and sort code to pay in so assume it all went ok. Obviously I see this morning both the app and online accounts have been pulled.
    Now am awaiting the activation code in the post - but the app seems to have crashed (says to call them as 'something seems to have gone wrong when I open the app). So will wait for the letter to arrive with the code and then call them to see how I can 'reactivate' the app.
    I do feel a bit sorry for them as they are only a small society and their systems have probably been overwhelmed - should have made it locals or existing members only!

    I also got several spam texts - seven of them - from their 0121 285 7790 number (the same number which the initial app verification code came from) saying 'our system is under maintenance so please try later' . These all came overnight with three at 4.15am (do they do 24 hour banking?!)
    They have stopped now thankfully!
