People don’t remember the perfect days. They remember the laughs they had when it went a bit pear-shaped, and the fun they had together.
Your boyfriend was happy. That’s what counts. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I have a skype afternoon tea call with his mom this afternoon2 -
That went really well. She was so laid back with me, loved my baking and asked me about me. What I liked, About NY, What I thought of the UK. If I enjoyed living with my boyfriend. She told me to relax its "not a police interview" or "being in court", She's a magistrate? (She explained that is why she uses the police and court references). She said if I wanted something other than tea/coffee to get it. I stuck with coffee but really wanted a soda.
She texted my boyfriend saying how lovely I was!8 -

Thank you
Low day today, I'm feeling a bit home sick (As much as I wasn't happy with my life back in NY, it was still home, I talked to my boyfriend about it as he is working from home, he gave me a hug and he has gone to an American take out to pick us up some food. I'm excited for it.
Any tips for getting over home sickness?

Normally, I would say that the best way of getting over homesickness is to throw yourself completely into life at your new home. Of course, that is particularly difficult at the moment, for obvious reasonsIt's not difficult!

I think acknowledge it, as you have done, and make the best of it, as you are.
Not the same I know, but when we moved about 100 miles from where we'd started our family, I sometimes felt 'homesick' for the oddest reasons. The main one, daftly, was that I couldn't find a supermarket laid out in a similar way to the one I was used to. For ages, I couldn't find one the right size! Lots of small corner shops, very few medium sized supermarkets.
