If you made something (I'm thinking brownies or shortbread - flat and undecorated!) and got it off first class in Monday's post it should definitely arrive. (At the moment, Royal Mail is likely to offer a better service than what you were used to in the USA, from what I can gather ...)Signature removed for peace of mind0

Just with regards to your bras I saw you mention- you’re correct, 34DDD is a UK 34E. I buy a lot of bras from Victoria’s Secret and their sizing is US sizing. They have a little chart on their website which explains that DDD is equal to an E cup.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I want to be a bit American so I made some brownies last night and they are wrapped beautifully for the UPS man to come (back home if we wanted to send something quickly. We either overnighted with Fedex or UPS). Plus UPS is very American.Mrs_Ryan said:Just with regards to your bras I saw you mention- you’re correct, 34DDD is a UK 34E. I would love an afternoon tea with a prospective daughter-in-law. If nothing else, you'll both be able to talk about the cakes and sandwiches.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

Ask your boyfriend, he must have introduced people before?
Those seem like quite heavy duty questions to me. I would expect it to be much lighter, more general getting to know you chat. You have after all only just moved in, it's early days yet.
It's interesting, I get the impression from your posts that these things are much more formal where you're from than what I would expect here.
I know it's easier said than done, but try not to over think it, she's just being nosy and wants a chat 😆0 -
IMO if your boyfriend's mother decides to grill you about your intentions/fertility etc. then I'd be somewhat inclined to tell her to mind her own business.

The few parents Ive met have been quite strict. I am hoping its just a chat0 -
I’d expect his mum would like to know how serious things are, but I’d not expect her to ask! And it’s certainly none of her business to know about babies, actual or potential - and wouldn’t be even the couple were married. I’d expect it to be more of a a hi, how are you settling in, is it very difficult to adjust, and there’s always the good old Brit standby of asking about the weather ...0

My boyfriend said it shouldn't be anything heavy.
It was his birthday today, It was a bit of a disaster to be honest. The cake I baked failedand I had some American candies and sodas. My boyfriend loved it, He knows I don't have the money to buy him expensive things that his friends I should get him. I got him a model. I'm just a bit down that things went wrong. I wanted to his birthday to be perfect.
