What are the chances it will go away if I ignore?
    None.
And do I NEED to reply?
Yes, I told you why, that's why I put it in capitals.  You risk a CCJ at an old address if you fail to get them to erase it.

One email needed.  This is not technical stuff.
"You can find out where to send the SAR by email, by looking on the Parking firm's PRIVACY webpage, telling you where to send 'data concerns' to their Data Protection Officer (DPO)."

They don't have a privacy page on their website, at the bottom it has Privacy Policy but it isn't a link, just the words.
They do have a contact email but I'm guessing that wouldn't be the correct address to send the SAR to?

Whilst the topic may be complicated , being told what to do and doing it is not , just do as you are told and assume that a court claim will follow and plan accordingly

I think Capital may now be a different company , so check and find their details so you can email a SAR to the correct company and person

I would try an email to the info@ address and tell them to pass it on to their DPO

Also ensure that all parties have your correct and current address

Nobody told you to speak to anyone , writing only !! No speaking or listening

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation.,

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers. On 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and hopefully this will become law shortly

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Ok so I have found the company's privacy page via Google and it says:

"How can you contact Capital Car Park Control if you have a privacy related query?

If you have any questions about our privacy policy, how we use your data or your data rights, you can contact us using the form provided below.

Your query can be submitted directly to our Privacy Team by writing to us at Capital Car Park Control, SVS House, Oliver Grove, London, SE25 6EJ"

There isn't an email address provided apart from the contact us one - info@capitalcarparkcontrol.co.uk

Is this here I should email the SAR?

Again, apologies for asking probably obvious questions. I haven't had to deal with anything like this before and I'm finding it overwhelming.

    Thanks

    Do both if you wish

I would email it to the info@ email address and tell them to pass it on to the DPO to deal with , even if it's a one man band , also telling them to update your address on their records and erase the old one , attach a copy of your V5C as proof of I D under the GDPR law

Post can be used if there is a problem with emailing , or do both , no reason why not , cover your backside !!

Right I've got this to email, I've crossed out my name, address and previous address. SAR template has a signature box bit obviously I can't add that via email.

Is this ok to send in your opinions?

Strike out the if you need more paragraph

Add I D such as what I said above , or copies of 2 recent redacted utility bills as proof and in that removed paragraph replace it with

I have enclosed proof of identity under the same law above and I expect a reply within the statutory 30 days

No need to sign an email but give your name and address

You can request a SAR via letter, email, website portal, even by phone, I don't think the PPC can restrict you ...... but like all this stuff, you'd need to be extremely bloody-minded, determined and resilient to assert your rights.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
