Complaint to SRA resulted in them stating Gladstones are already under investigation. Response from Gladstone was that my data was obtained from Experian apparently. I thought I would have to consent to that.0

No, your credit record is there to allow putative creditors to decide whether they want to grant you credit or not.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

But that is further to an application for credit?0

They don't have to ask because they only did a 'soft trace'. That doesn't affect credit score and is allowed, it's to trace an address.Experian soft traces cost from 29 pence.
Ask Gladstones to show you the Experian return they received for you, and remind them they must provide this, as it is your data, and you are relying on your SAR rights.
You may wish to add that their conduct is intimidating and you believe it breaches solicitor standards , so you reported them to the SRA, who replied that they are already prosecuting Gladstones, as is published on the SRA website in the public domain. Ask how that is going because you intend to draw it to the attention of the Judge, because this whole pre-action farce is not in keeping with the pre-action protocol and they've layered on extra false costs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Sounds like the SRA don't see any point in bombarding a sinking shipwall1 said:Complaint to SRA resulted in them stating Gladstones are already under investigation. Response from Gladstone was that my data was obtained from Experian apparently. I thought I would have to consent to that.

Appears the work switchboard number was the only number linked to my Experian file which seems odd but I have no way to run a soft trace on myself.
Gladstones are now offering to settle for £125 but the evidence from UKCPM they attach only relates to one of the 'Parking charges'. Not that I'd pay anything but would they then consider the one unsettled?0 -
I don't get your question but if Gs are only shaping to file a claim for one PCN out of two, let them. It means a second claim would be easier to see off. Don't tell them.
Also Gladstones are in a spot of bother (all in the public domain) so they could drop everything in 2022 if their battle with the SRA goes badly for them.
Carry on and cheerfully defend if they do file a claim. Things are very desperate for the parking industry right now and even without the SRA breathing down their necks, the Government are.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, the PPC sent me their data/ evidence for both charges, while the SAR to Gladstone's only returned one. I'm assuming they thought they could offer settlement from me for 1 and, were I to settle, still persue the other.Coupon-mad said:I don't get your question but if Gs are only shaping to file a claim for one PCN out of two, let them. No, it's simpler than that. The PPC only deals with one PCN at a time and has only referred one to Gs so far. Stoopid of them . Let it happen.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
