"WOW" @candygirl, that`s fantastic, much better thanks @Sistergold, she understand dietary needs as she is a coeliac, and gluten free,  tonic water @Edgeoftheburn helps me tremendously, it`s the quinine.
Found myself with 2 lots of swede defrosted yesterday, swede mash with creme freche, and swede cubes, so ate the mash, have a cottage pie base for today so will top with the swede

Went grocery shopping today, didn’t need a lot, only when I got home I realised how much I spend junk  treats for DH, £17 out of a £30 shop was for himself, and that’s not including basics like milk. And thry say Keto is an expensive way to eat….

anyhoo, HM Lamb Kofta tonight, with HM coleslaw and lettuce wraps for me, bread wraps for DH

  • Thanks pamsdish I have ordered some sugar free tonic with quinine.

Islandsmaid your dinner sounds delicious! My family are definitely not ones to join in on keto either they like their own treats too much.

I am in day 3 of carb detox and feeling bleauch, which is the only way to describe it almost a headache but not, almost nauseous but not. I know it will pass tomorrow or the next day so powering through. Dinner will be some pulled pork, buttered spinach and I might have a go at a chaffle. Anyone have a go to recipe?

Hi everyone joining in for accountability

I lost 4 stone 3 years ago by Keto only at first and then adding intermittent fasting after about 2 months. I had maintained pretty well up to Christmas when all the booze, sugar filled treats and carb overload of a lockdown Xmas had an impact, then came Easter and more piled on. Back on keto since Monday and I aim to loose the stone gained and another for good measure. Have a holiday weekend in a few weeks and 2 weeks off in August hopefully by then I will be back into the swing of things and have no carb desire.

My biggest issue is leg and feet cramps no matter how much I use the LoSalt, Magnesium tablets or hydration isotonic tablet drinks and drink lots of water. If anyone has a miracle cure do let me know?

Enjoying reading your chat the last couple of days.
Try calcium tablets the higher strength. That stops cramps for me.

@Sistergold I will get some calcium this weekend too, thanks!

Chaffles were pretty decent, made a double batch and had 2 for dinner last night and 2 for lunch topped with avocado. Made them with cheddar rather than mozzarella so they were very cheesy. Dinner tonight was sausage and halloumi done on the BBQ with leftover spinach and artichoke hearts. Felt much better today so hopefully I am out the other side of the carb detox.

i have made them with cheddar too.     if you use mozzarella and add some almond flour  makes more of a dough which i have used as a pizza base

I do, probably less carby using cheddar as grated mozz can be dusted with a flour to stop it sticking together.

i used what looks like a yorkshire pudding tin but the wells are larger and did them in the oven,   i have also just dolloped (technical term) on a baking sheet but they look a bit weird lol.
i dont have a waffle maker but i understand you can do them in a frying pan too
