Back from Cardiff a day early, back started spasming around midnight, I stuck it with 2 paracetamol for an hour, then decided to head for home, my wheat bag and co-codamol, arrive home about 2 a.m., rather an uncomfortable drive, cup of tea and 2 slices low carb toast, then took the painkillers, woke up this morning to just a slight discomfort.
S.I.L. now accepting I don`t want potatoes, took my low carb rolls and had quite a low carb weekend.
Eating my low carb ready made meals today as I am low on supplies and can`t stand to prepare foods, had a lasagne and have a jelly left over for later
Do I need it or just want it.

Much better thank you @Islandmaid, was quite a mild one, or I am learning to manage them better, I find the co-codamol knocks me out, and then the muscles relax much quicker.
Belly pork slices today with swede mash and cauli. Jelly and cream to follow, did have toast this morning as I was hollow from yesterdays travails, either that or the meds left me nauseous.

  • Hi everyone joining in for accountability

I lost 4 stone 3 years ago by Keto only at first and then adding intermittent fasting after about 2 months. I had maintained pretty well up to Christmas when all the booze, sugar filled treats and carb overload of a lockdown Xmas had an impact, then came Easter and more piled on. Back on keto since Monday and I aim to loose the stone gained and another for good measure. Have a holiday weekend in a few weeks and 2 weeks off in August hopefully by then I will be back into the swing of things and have no carb desire.

My biggest issue is leg and feet cramps no matter how much I use the LoSalt, Magnesium tablets or hydration isotonic tablet drinks and drink lots of water. If anyone has a miracle cure do let me know?

Enjoying reading your chat the last couple of days.

Welcome edgeoftheburn, the carb creep gets us all at times but at least you pulled up before you gained it all back and you know this works for you!!

  • Thanks for the encouragement shykins, keto really does work but only when you are all in, took me a while to get in the right headspace again. I am concentrating on craving versus real hunger. If it's a craving it is habit/emotional and I need to break that cycle again.

@pamsdish, hope you are feeling better. Well done for insisting with your
SIL so that she understands how you want to eat. Many people don’t understand low carb! Few times am asked what I would like to eat I say low carb and I am given vegetarian? Do me meat just potatoes and the like! And I am like where is the meat? Anyway low carb needs time for people to understand!

I love your dinners everyone keep it up! I had kale, mushroom, eggplant cream medley, with mince patty.

@Edgeoftheburn, welcome on here and yes accountability is good! Well done for getting back onto what you have proved works! Carbs do creep in very easily and before you know it weight piles back! We all need to keep at it!
