Thursday is movie night, but we're so into New Amsterdam at the moment, that we're going to be scoffing organic chicken drumsticks tonight while watching it. Roasting them in organic olive oil with organic lemon juice and sea salt plus fresh bay leaves from our garden.

    Hello everyone
Just thought let me join in for inspiration. I have been eating low carb for more than 10years now. I am not being as low carb as I should be for a while now and I would like to improve on this. Joining in will hopefully give me the push I need in the right direction. Eating low carb helps me keep weight down and helps me reduce water retention in general. It also helps me reduce general fatigue. I do now need to loose quite a few Kilos as I have not been eating as low carb as I should but that should hopefully not be too hard.
    Xx

    Hi Sistergold 👋

im a very slow loser, 28lb in 8 months, but the thing I’m really chuffed with is my blood pressure has gone from severe hypertension range to within normal I’m definitely doing this for health first, weight loss is just a bonus when it happens  👍 love this way of eating.

We have family over tonight, but vegan son is out so we’re doing a BBQ, swordfish steaks or sirloin steak with jacket potatoes for the non Keto and HM coleslaw, griddled asparagus and tender stem broccoli, strawberries and cream for pud,  G&T will feature, but as they say, this is a way of eating, not a punishment 😉

Candy girl - are you taking additional electrolytes? I get a dry mouth if I miss them, due to having less processed foods, our diet needs to ensure are get enough electrolytes separately.

ended up with Ras el Hanout spice lamb steak with air fried courgette, peppers, mushrooms etc

@Sistergold, just back from my S,I,L, and I am really struggling to get her to understand, "I don`t want carbs" my ankles are like balloons, I will be listless for a day or so, and as I am spending weekends with her it`s a cycle, will spend tomorrow making linseed pittas and I need rolls and bread anyway, will make enough to take down for her freezer, then just keep refusing potatoes and crisps, sweet desserts, need to make some of those for her freezer too.
We had a small discussion on next weekends food, cauliflower cheese and gammon medallions was mentioned, Sunday lunch I will just suggest extra veg with whatever meat we having, Friday I think it was fish so again I will provide extra veg.
Do I need it or just want it.
