After a month of headaches getting to register, I am confident Jaja is the worst credit card company I have ever dealt with.

I am getting on OK with my Jaja card. After complaining on this thread and others about set up etc, it seems to be working mostly.
The direct debit from money spent on my Post office card was taken in October (I think) Then no further direct debits because I didn't spend anything on this card.
When I received the card, I registered it by using it in a local shop with Chip and Pin. However a week later I tried a contactless payment in the same shop and it failed. Haven't bothered to investigate why, as contactless is not the main reason I have this card.
I have paid for American goods and also set up my Continuous Payment Authority for an American service, and it has been taken.
The other downside is that purchases take a few days to appear in the app. For example in the local shop example, I used the card on a Sunday and the transaction did not appear in the app till Wednesday. With my other cards, they normally appear the next day.
So ok so far. Now waiting to see if January direct debit will be taken.
I do worry if something happens to me, how my family would get in touch with Jaja but that is a proble for another day.
  • I have had my credit card moved from Post Office to Jaja which I was totally fine with.  Post office were quite dodgy where I mentioned elsewhere that they didn't put the expiry date of any promotional offers on your statement.  A lot do but they didn't and being organised I called them to check this date a couple of times.

Now after the transfer I have received a letter from Jaja saying that the promotional period end on 22nd Jan 2021 which is good of them to let you know.  However when the card was at the Post Office it was 22nd Mar 2021 - so losing 2 months of my interest free period.  Seems a bit dodgy.  I called them and after the normal press 1 for this, press 2 for that I got through to an agent who was very helpful and he will look into it for me.  Just a warning to anyone who has changed from Post Office to Jaja watch your expiry date on your promotional offer.

The reason I was sure was I had written it down so I know when it ends and changed my direct debit payment so it would all be paid off by the expiry date.
  • I was switched from PO to jaja without any warning. I paid £200.0 to PO prior to switch. This payment has gone missing . Jaja have been no help whatsoever and £200.00 of my money has disappeared.

Fed up with Jaja's shoddy service I paid off my balance and a few days later closed my AA card account with them by phone on 11 December 2020. My latest statement for January shows they intend to charge me the account fee for January and today  (11 January) the arrival of the replacement VISA card with a different card number shows they haven't closed the account as requested.
I called them, and they agreed that I requested the account closure on 11/12, and offered to waive the new fee (big of them, since I don't owe it). When I said I wanted to complain about their service and asked for some compensation for my trouble, they then said they couldn't close the account as I had made a complaint (!) and have referred it to their complaints department who will write to me within 5 working days.
I have no confidence that this will be resolved any time soon.
  • I raised 2 complaints with JAJA in December (7th and 16th), both of which they acknowledged and stated 'we have up to 15 working days to investigate your issue and provide a final written response.....'  Based on their record, I am not at all surprised that I have received nothing from them since then!!
My previous issues have been resolved but their systems and processes are completely broken - I haven't used my card in months.
  • I had the worst poss experience with Jaja ,having been transferred from Post Office .Never managed to get the app , never got any help, decided to give up . Cant get a final statement from them . In the process found the Post Office were providing credit cards via Capital One and got one of theirs no problem . Anybody know why the Post  Office couldn’t have migrated their accounts to Capital One rather than Jaja ?

Bank of Ireland issued Post Office branded cards and sold their customers to JaJa.
Capital One now issue Post Office branded cards.
I have an AA branded card that was transferred to JaJa and apart from a few crashes in the app, I haven't had any issues.

I have just had a fraudulent transaction on my JAJA card ( had a PO CC for decades)  . transaction has been refunded I think, i say i think as i cant see any transactions on the app for the last fortnight even though the fraudulent and refund should show, plus a further 4 purchases. they tell me there are problems with the app. not sure how i am supposed to pay if i cant see the transactions.
looks like its time to ditch it. I only had it for overseas use initially and has been great to save fees
