Scotch Mince is the name of the recipe, not it's origin ;):D
I'll post it up in the recipe section when I have more time if you like? We used to have scotch mince for school dinners, but basically, it's just a particular recipe for savoury mince.

The only Scotch to be had comes in a bottle and is marked whisky!!

Your recipe should be renamed Scottish Mince ;)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
Up at 10am today and actually had to get DD out of bed for a change. She's usually up and bouncing by 7am. :j

Had breakfast and then started searching for things on ebay that we've got to sell with DD. Its surprising how much some things go for. I need to start typing the stuff up now in turbolister including weighing it all out for postage costs. OH brought 15 empty boxes home from work yesterday (sort of like pizza boxes but they used to contain leads for laptops) so they can be used to post some of the more awkward things, although this will add £1 to the postage costs!

Just put out some washing as the chance of rain has finally dropped enough for me to want to chance putting it out. Put another load in the washing machine as a bl*ody bird sh*t on my quilt cover while it was on the washing line yesterday, plus I have loads of DD's clothes which are stained and I just can't get the stains out. Any ideas what I can use on coloured clothes to get out bolognese stains?

    Off to ebaying again......:wall:

Hi everyone, sorry for being OT again with this post, but just wanted to say that I'm bowing out of MSE for a while and wanted to thank everyone for their support and patience of me over the last few months.

As some of you are aware, I've not been well for some time now, and to be honest I think if it hadn't been for finding MSE and some of the great friends I've made here recently, I'd be in a much worse position than I am now. The last few weeks I've been really struggling with a lot of personal issues and becoming more and more depressed by the day. My moods have become very erratic, as have some of my postings here! ... and I've perhaps spoken out of turn on occasion and upset some people, for which I'm truly sorry :o

Whereas MSE, and in particular OS, has been a great tonic and incentive for me at times, I'm now finding it difficult to read certain threads for various reasons, and it's actually making me feel more depressed. This isn't down to anything or anyone in particular, but is to do with personal issues that I need to deal with before I can feel confident enough to post again.

I'm not leaving forever though, and will most likely pop in on good days to pick up PM's and browse the forums, but I just need some time out to try and get myself back on an even keel again, even moreso for my youngest son who bears the brunt of my illness, and despite his young age is my primary carer and has a hell of a lot to cope with at times, as I currently have no other support, medical or otherwise.

Love to you all and wishing you all the best, and hope to be back here very soon :A
