Hi Apple_Mint
Keep us posted, with the results as I am interested in doing this myself. Maybe you could give us some hints and tips along the way

OH stood and did all the ironing for me yesterday afternoon while watching Blackadder on DVD! Must be something to do with it being Fathers Day next week
I spent all day trying to do ebay stuff but didn't really get that much done. I still have piles of stuff to do so will be spending the next couple of wet days typing things up. I also cooked a meatloaf from scratch served with (frozen) mash and peas and smothered with gravy for dinner.
I've been trying to get some tomato based stains out of DD's clothes but I've failed so I came here and looked and found a solution (leave them on the washing line in the rain and then let them dry out ) so I will be doing that with all the stained clothing I've found.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

So I have now found a flask, hidden in the depths of our cupboards, and that will now accompany me.
Before you use it for your coffee, give the inside of it a soak for a couple of hours with a spoonful of bicarbonate of soda and some hot water. That'll freshen it up
Enjoy your last day of leave.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Happily entertained dd17 months most of the day (park, crayoning, video, stories, endless games of “boo” and even singing.) whilst OH (after a long and well overdue lie-in) did a bit in the garden; made his sandwiches for the week and did some ironing.
Finished inputting 3 mystery shops that I had done yesterday during her nap, and enjoyed reading some of “The Complete Tightwad Gazette” (borrowed from the library) when she was safely tucked up for the night.
Managed to fit in some tidying up, dysoning, dishwasher emptying and other daily domestic duties at some point, ready for the new week.0 -
Another not-so-OS day for me. I'm spending the day yet again trying to get ebay things done. Some of this stuff has been sitting in ebay boxes since we moved house 12 months ago! I still have about 50 items (if not more) to type up but I'll get there. You know when you start a job....:rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

So far I've run hubby up to the yard to pick up his lorry so that's him away for the week. Children are off to school so I can relax and get on with my jobs. The washing machine is on load 2 (damn cat decided it didin't like what the other one left in the litter tray so he went on top of my basket of towels!) I'm going to make a bread pudding with the leftovers from DS1's loaf he made on Friday, finish sewing my covers for the caravan in anticipation of the foam inners arriving today and convert my stepsons mangled trousers into a pair of shorts. He arrived on Friday wearing his school clothes (normally his mother changes him into clothes I've bought because she doesn't want her clothes mixed up with mine
) He's only 5 and his school trousers had the bottoms shredded and holes in both knees, OK kids wreck clothes but I would never have sent him to school wearing them like that, it wasn't new damage. Poor boy has enough things going on to have the mickey taken out of him for without looking like a little tramp. I don't understand some people, I bought a new pair identical to them for him to take back (they were only £4 ones from George) and a new pair of trainers (one's with toes in!) and she moaned about that. She swears blind that she "just can't afford to keep that little brat in clothes" but she stands there in brand new labelled sports wear and is moaning about the hangover she's got from 2 nights on the town with her girlfriend while we had him :wall:
Sorry wandered off into a rant there
I'm still trying to decide what to have for tea as DH arrived home on Thurday last week and threw my meal plan to chaos. Anyone fancy mediteranian veg with pasta?0 -
Slow start for me today! Strayed off the MSE path over the weekend as we had dd's bf to stay and as I was having a couple of bad days - no energy - so we ate out a couple of times
Still I guess that is what this money saving thing is about you try to save some pennies to cover treats like that
Well slowly getting back on track today, breadmaker is on making a wholemeal loaf, wash load 1 is on complete with vinegar rinse. I have just found a lovely remnant of curtain material, not very large but should make a couple of cafe style curtains for my utility room. Now to find the sewing machine, haven't used it for ages! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

White washing is done and hung out in the sunshine.
Soon off out to do my mystery shopping and price checking work. Jobs today will pay for my Ebay postage and provide me with £15 of "free" petrol.
Dinner tonight will be some kind of chilli/burrito type dish, double quantity so there is some for the freezer.
Asda delivery scheduled for this evening. I had a code for free delivery on orders over £30 - order came to £30.21!0
