Aww CQ, I am sorry to hear that - you are one poster that I always look forward to reading. I hope that things improve soon, I am sure they will, and that you will be back here before we know it.

If there is anything I can do just say. Its hard to ask for help, I know. I suffered from post-natal depression for months and could not admit it to myself let alone anyone else. You are stronger than I was in that respect and I am sure that you are doing the right thing for you and for your son - and that is what matters.

    We will miss you though.

    Take care

Sorry to hear your feeling under par C_Q. Hope you do pamper yourself and come back fighting fit soon, love your humour and I've never detected you being a bit short, always thought you were good and honest.

Is this the right thread to ask if anyones fancies doing a spot of ironing? or should I post in discussion.

Thats like swearing to me :D I dont do ironing - I married my husband for his ironing skills :rotfl:

Today I went for a wander around JTF (cheap warehouse place) for household stuff. I've sat with my girls and made some scoobie thingies and I've drank tea.

Well, it is my day off and I do plan to cook tea tonight so I will have done something useful by the end of the day (unless I change my mind & we have beans on toast :p)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

Got up late-ish this morning after going to bed late-ish last night (Ho hum!)
Put last night's washing (done on cheap rate electricity) out on line to dry, then put in next load. Started off a weetabix cake (one that needs a while to soak up the milk) that I will bake later when I do our baked spuds for tea.

Made smoothies for breakfast with DS. Orange juice, melon & grape but discovered that grape skins are surprisingly tough and don't liquidise well so had to strain them out. A lot of messing but the smoothies were delicious.

At lunchtime went with DS to a football tournament :footie: (he plays for a local under-9's team). Was well supplied with drinks for son, flask of coffee for me and a box full of sandwiches so we didn't need to resort to the dreaded burger van. A great free afternoon out, although son's team didn't make it into the semi-finals. :(:(

Sorry to say 'au revoir' to Curry-Queen. Have enjoyed your wit and humour as well as your tips. Hope you are back on form soon, but you must look after you and yours first! Take care.

I'm trying to plan lessons at the moment for this week and I'm finding it really tricky. OH though is watching tv whilst ironing. Think I've got the better end of the deal!

We spent last night at OH's parents' house as we were taken out for OH and his twin sister's 30th birthday. This meant that we could take our washing round as our new washing machine hasn't turned up yet.

On the way back, we stopped at Rutland Water for a wander and treated ourselves to a Wetherspoons light lunch courtesy of his birthday money! Tonight it's left over chinese takeaway....................... mmmmm.

homemade bread and porridge made with water for breakfast
collected the hens' eggs, son had a boiled egg
hoovering i- and kids helped using a hendheld mini vac thing;)
roast dinner - lamb shanks, new potatoes, mint sauce made by 4 year old, mint from our garden, HM gravy using stock from last week's chicken, and veggies, steamed chocolate/mint/toffee pudding, watered the garden, kids cleared out chicken poo for the compost bin, tidied front garden of brambles (a bit - still some to go) kids birdwatched in the garden with some really old style binoculars.
They are safely bathed, in their pjs, done their homework after tea of cheese on toast and rice pud or yoghurt, and now they are so darned quiet it's worrying. Later I have to iron 4 year old's school uniform, and my clothes for tomorrow, finish my business plan, get some paperwork sorted, half an hour on the air walker, and maybe an old style nip of whisky as a nightcap;)
