Hello everyone, sorry I've not been here much lately.
Spent today reflooring the kitchen and drilling holes in the kitchen wall.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Today have cooked up a batch of aduki beans in slow cooker and divided them into 3 and they are now in the freezer for future aduki bean shepherds pies.
Buckwheat & lentil slice cooked ready for tomorrow's dinner
Have sorted out some clothes for the charity shop but also brought a skort in the charity shop today for £3.500 -
Phew, what a day. Tried to be 'old style' but ended up wasting some money due to a 'bargain' I just had to have, but didn't need, why do I do this?
Got up at 10am, a total lazy bones this morningand proceeded to play on the computer whilst I sipped my morning cuppa. Finally got ready just after 12ish (what is it about computers???) and ended up going to the local wholesaler for the clearance sale that was today only. Was only going to look (yeah right!) and came home with a deep fat fryer  I know I shouldn't eat chips, but I love them so..ah well.....maybe tomorrow will be a more productive day.

Went to Argos with the aim of buying a new knife set - remembered to look through the special offer leaflets they always have lying about and ended up buying a more expensive set with £10 off, so 7 knives and a sharpening steel for £21.99. Then went to the library and got 5 books for free (as well as the two I already have at home). Had a walk round Blockbuster but rejected the crap DVDs on offer for 'Shaun of the Dead' on Sky Movies (OK, not that OS but less than getting a DVD out every week!).
Aim from now on - get to the library more often, because when I have a big pile of books I am very happy to stay in and not go round the shops!0 -
:T :T :T I'm tired out just *reading* all that! LOL
I ended up having a busier day than anticipated, but I'll tell you how in the Sunday thread because the two slot together a bit.
apprentice - definately "recycling"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

:hello: Good Morning Everyone
Today I have to finish what I started yesterday
Finally went back to the shopping centre to have another look for some clothes (dh and the boys are off for a long weekend away next week and d11yo needs some clothes). I still have a few days left of 10% off from one of the stores. That same store had a some items that were already 20% off  Chose as best we could from the 20% ranges, then off to pay and claim that extra 10% on top. As I was called forward to the till ... the woman just leaving it thrust something at me as she walked away saying: "Have a voucher" ..... :j it was a voucher for £5 off!! :j
I'll have to work out the exact "savings" and post them in the PMS Challenge - but I was absolutey delighted with such a great shopping trip :rotfl:
Now, because I spent over £50 ... I was given £15 in vouchers (which have to be used today!) but in fact, was given £20 in vouchersAs I still have items to get - I will be going back today to claim yet another £20 off in vouchers + 10% off the overall amount and there are still items in the 20% off ranges that might fit the bill too. :j Happy days!!!
Nipped into Sainsbury's for the loo ... couldn't resist taking peek at the reduced counter while I was there .... got 6 x 1lb packs of minced steak for .... £3!!!! (50p a pack) So, later today, I'm going to make up some meals for the freezer using up the packs of mince.
All in all a great weekend!!
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Queenie, what is Scotch Mince, have never heard of that, despite being born and living in Scotland my entire life, am intrigued here?0 -
Scotch Mince is the name of the recipe, not it's origin
I'll post it up in the recipe section when I have more time if you like? We used to have scotch mince for school dinners, but basically, it's just a particular recipe for savoury mince.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
