So your hubby is blackmailing his friend who he used to have a business with?Mitzj7374 said:He’s told me he’s friend is paying him money who sold the businesses and went separate ate ways.
He is paying my hubby protection money. To look after him and make sure no harm comes to him.0 -
Suppliers to construction trade. Not putting exact job title/company on an open forum.Mitzj7374 said:
What does he do?Spendless said:
Yes, his bank account. He's been making deposits from his own account into their joint one.Savvy_Sue said:
An inheritance wouldn't usually explain unexpectedly large amounts of cash: it would appear in the bank account.Spendless said:Every so often a thread comes along that you just want to know the answer. This is the most fun one I've read in ages.
Think most of my suggestions have already been posted but Ill throw in another one
An inheritance has come through that he's not told you about?
Out of curiousity how long have you been married? Have you experienced this behaviour of not explaining himself before?
My money's on drug dealing. If he worked at a school, it'd be almost certain. What sort of setting does he work at OP? School, golf club, landed estate, housing association ...
I'd like to think the thread is a wind up but I had an equally dopey friend who truly believed that the £100s/£1000s that her husband materiaised just before their annual holiday abroad came from one of the bosses where he worked as 'X always gave her husband spending money to go on holiday with' Yeah ok, unfortunately never worked out exactly what dodgy dealing he was upto.0 -

this post is trolling for sure. bait.
if not, OP - i would worry more about your husband not telling you where the money has come from. he is obviously hiding things from you and that would worry me.0 -
Yes or threatening him, I think because of his business sale. my husband was involved in the business for 6 years when it wasn’t really going anywhere and left and sold his shares for £26,000 I think, however 3 or 4 years on the sole shareholder sold for 1.5M. My husband feels hard done by when he left with not much.Grumpy_chap said:

both original founders, but the other party wanted to take it on solely. My husband feels he deserves some of that sale money.

So, you need to stop having anything to do with this or the money or the gifts or the new house that will be purchased for cash. Your husband's actions sound as though they could be illegal and this can only end badly. If you engage, you could be considered an accessory.Mitzj7374 said:
