Check with them directly. I phoned them last week and they said they'd been waiting for a document since the 27th August that they hadn't told my broker they even wanted.gboy25 said:Ah crikey! Good to know you had some success going direct to them though! Fingers crossed for us all I guess haha 😂
I must admit I'll be annoyed if I have a similar delay over a daft document because the broker hasn't asked anything from me since the beginning of august and I would have everything to hand at a drop of a hat if needs be!
Well let's hope it's all worth it in the end 🤞😂Nationwide mortgage application (FTB)

We applied for our mortgage back on 12th August and our valuation is today. I don't get how some people are having valuations done first. No idea how much longer we will be waiting but now on working day 230

If you submit a document does that mean you are going to the back of the queue and waiting out the 11 working days in addition to the 19?0

Certainly seems that way :-SOneOfThem12 said:If you submit a document does that mean you are going to the back of the queue and waiting out the 11 working days in addition to the 19?Nationwide application - FTB 90% product, 87.5% LTV

What's worse is that they don't check everything. If they find something missing they'll stop right there and ask you for it. 2 weeks down the line they may want documents about another part and you realise you're in a new month and they may ask you for the latest month's payslip or bank statement. It's like being stuck in a comedy show (twilight zone / government agency).
Someone at some point thought to themselves, what's the slowest process we can choose? Let's make a big backlog where we throw everyone's case in and everyone just grab the front item. It's a process designed to handle chaos (limited numbers of people dealing with too many cases and no communication lines).1 -
We applied for our mortgage on the 13/08. No valuation as of yet, phoned them yesterday and they said it’s with the underwriters still and they won’t book the valuation in case we get rejected. So I’m expecting a rejection in a few days to be honest0

I have some bad news for all those who applied for a Nationwide mortgage. I've spoken to my mortgage advisor yesterday and he said that it currently takes them about 20 working days ( it's nearly a month if you add weekends) to assess any documents you submit so if you were asked for some additional documents recently, you are in for a long wait. Good luck0

I feel like that can’t be true. 20 wd is one month. That’d mean at minimum a mortgage offer can take 2 months (40wd) and for some significantly longer (valuations).winogronek said:I have some bad news for all those who applied for a Nationwide mortgage. I’m currently on working day 36 and have been told to expect it to go up to 44 working days.cii4ps said:
