We’ve just been rejected for overdraft usage despite not actually being in them anymore. :( devastating
    So sorry for you! :disappointed:
    Was it an arranged overdraft?
Was it a joint application, are you the main applicant?
We are in a similar situation - i am main applicant but my partner has been using arranged overdraft until June, so it does show up on the bank statements unfortunately so i am worried there will be the same outcome :disappointed:
    Any information is appreciated!

Thank you, yes, it was an arranged, interest free overdraft which has been paid off. Only used due to a period of unemployment. We are now employed, and in no debt at all. Managed to save etc. But since we had used it they rejected saying it was high risk. It was a joint application. Partner was main applicant but overdraft was mine. We are just going to save for three months and try again in the new year. So upsetting though!

I think as long as you paid the overdraft off yourself it would be okay. A family member had given us some money (not actually for the overdraft but it helped with it) so Nationwide said we depending on third parties.

I’m absolutely gutted for you!!! Wish they could tell you this stuff earlier! But keep positive 👍🏻🎉 We have been knocked back for four years, I’d almost given up and this is the furthest we have got so I’m still hopeful for an offer! Keep trying and pushing your advisor to help you out!
Thank you so much that is so so kind!! Yeah we are going to save for a few months and try again in the new year. We are both employed so by then will have a strong application. Fingers crossed for you too, I’ll be checking back here to see how you all get on!! 💕💕🤞

I think the average is currently ~22 days however it can vary. 90% LTV seems to take longer as more thorough checks are done. Have you called to chase? Might be worth just seeing where they are with things.
