  • Hello all, I've been lurking in the forum since we submitted our application and looking at your journeys, it has always made us feel more reassured and confident about buying our first house! We just received our offer today so thought I'd share the timeline in case it might be helpful

85% LTV, first time buyers, I am currently on furlough due to return to work next month, partner on FT salary not affected by covid. (My being furloughed has given me a lot of anxiety during the application, especially when more and more lenders won't accept furloughed income anymore - Nationwide still does though as long as you have a letter from your employer confirming return to work date)

    Application submitted 24 August
    Valuation booked 24 August
Hard search (equifax and transunion) 3 September
Valuation and survey carried out 10 September
    Offer made 10 September !

  • Just got a text from Nationwide saying they are looking at the valuation report, our Application Tracker has disappeared from the website. The thought that someone is looking at the application right now is terrifying hahaha
  • Submitted furlough letter from employer today so 🤞 working day 22

Thought I’d call them and wished I hadn’t.... they’ve told me I could be waiting till 25th of September for my last payslip to get processed!!! But she “reassured” me because it was a single case, what ever that means 😳😩

Stressed 😂 especially when they've apparently been waiting for documents that they haven't actually asked anyone for
