Was contacted yesterday for further payslips. All passed over and now been told we need to wait the 11 days working estimates before any escalation
On the plus side (i suppose?) have been told/confirmed that the valuation assessment is all good etc (which i knew/expected).

I had really hoped/expected this to be the last few days, but now concerned we won't get an update until the 21st/22nd. My hopes were really high when a few of you posted approved comments early this week

Same with me, they asked for documents, I submitted them and got pushed back to the start of the wait for them to be processed, so frustrating!

I'm sure many people will be aware of this, but Nationwide's current service times are 16 days from application to underwriting and 11 days from document upload to document assessment.

  • Hello, could I please ask if delays are happening to everyone trying to get a mortgage with Nationwide at the moment, or if it is, for example, high loan to value, people who are self employed etc? I'm hopefully applying to port my mortgage soon, but if it takes two months I'm tempted to pay ERC and go elsewhere! Many thanks

Ours is 85% LTV and appears to be following the same time line as most others on this thread. We're at 10 working days. Valuation has been book and completed, both soft and hard searches have been done. Just waiting on a decision now.

    Working day 22 here, nothing!
  • Dear all,
Here is my timeline, i think we have been very lucky to be fair but it didn't stop me from getting angry/nervous/frustrated throughout. FTB - 75% LTV + 20% HTB + 5% Deposit.
    20/08 - DIP
20/08 - Soft Credit Search reported on all CRA';s.
20/08 - Full application submitted (Text received from NW)
24/08 - Valuation booked for 28/08 (Text received from NW)
28/08 - Valuation carried out 28/08 (Text received from NW)
02/09 - Additional document needed (Found this out when i contacted NW via webchat, they hadn't asked my broker yet)
07/09 - Contacted Webchat again. Was told document takes 9 days to review and will likely hear around 16th.
08/09 - Mortgage offer issued (Text Received. Offer in writing sent to Broker on PDF)
Used a broker, has been no hard search. 12 Working days end to end.
What i would say is, apart from the additional payslip, we received no requests for documentation because our broker asked us for it up front (There was a lot). The additional was due to falling into a new month.
He analysed our financial information and the documents to back it up before he advised which lender to go with.
They asked him for the documents they needed and he uploaded straight away because he had it all. There was no back and forth. I'm so glad i used one. A good, reputable, broker..in my opinion, has made all the difference.
