Eventually... after various phone calls yesterday between Nw and broker I have finally received our mortgage offer via text this morn. So relieved. Good luck to everyone 🤞🏼
Yay so happy for you congratulations!!!!
  • I got through to someone at Nationwide. The case has been approved pending valuation, apparently an email was sent to my MB yesterday. I hadn't received a text to advise of a valuation being booked so hopefully that gets done soon, it's a new build so I'm not sure how it's done in Scotland tbh or whether they'll just use the information they got last time around!
To provide an update on this, valuation was done on Monday and my MB emailed this morning to advise it was all fine and my application was now in the final underwriting queue for sign-off ahead of an offer hopefully being issued early next week.
They went through initial underwriting and it was all OK, hard check was done a while ago and when I called Nationwide they told me everything was fine pending valuation, so I'm hoping this final step is just a formality. If something goes wrong at this stage I will be miffed!

@lancslass26 that's amazing! I'm so chuffed for you.
@BillStruthBear hope it comes in soon. My valuation has been done and approved, but I haven't had a hard check which concerns me!

So my MB keyed something in wrong with my case (submitted as sole equity when I'm using the first home fund so is actually shared) and instead of being able to amend it he has to resubmit it....

He told me the work done so far will be transferred across to the new case and he will be able to expedite it but I'm very cautious at this point. I dont want to be waiting another 20 working days when I've nearly waited the whole 20 already!

Want to rip my hair out; hopefully this is the last bump in the road before I get an offer sorted.

Just got my credit club report for the month. Looks like Nationwide didn't bother doing a search on me? Unless it will show up next month instead...

From my experience they only did a soft search on Transunion and Equifax, not Experian (which I think creditclub checks) :)

My soft and hard searches both appeared on Credit Karma (Transunion) within a few weeks of the application, then I got a soft search appear on my ClearScore (Equifax). Still nothing reported on Experian/MSE Credit Club

I can't see anything on Credit Karma, it apparently can't find me. I've emailed them but they never replied. I hope that doesn't affect anything.

Hmm, ive just pulled a report from checkmyscore that gathers from all three, and apparently a hard search was done yesterday through Equifax. Nothing's showing on Clearscore. Is there a delay?
