DJC10 said:This thread has been very informative and stress reducing to see that we aren't the only ones waiting ages. Our application was 20/7, DIP 22/07 and valuation booked 07/08. We've not heard anything since then so it's been quite a stressful wait. Has anyone had to wait this long between the valuation being carried out and confirmation text that NW have received the valuation?
We had hard credit search done on 07/08. We are FTB with 10% deposit if that makes a difference in how long our application is taking. This might seem a silly question but do they apply the rate when you applied or the rate when they make the offer for the mortgage repayments? We are concerned about how much it's gone up since application date.Fortunately when you apply they lock in the rate, so your payments shouldn't change from what the estimate was.Coming up on a month now for me, as the valution report was received last week I'm hoping I'll get some sort of update or decision this week

We are in the same situation as you! 10% deposit and FTB. Did you go through a MB or direct to nationwide? Our valuation was booked for 19/8 and haven’t heard anything yet, so I’m probably being a bit impatient but hoping for some news soon! Your wait does seem to be a lot longer then everyone else here? Perhaps ring them and see what’s going on 🤞🏻 Good luck!DJC10 said:This thread has been very informative and stress reducing to see that we aren't the only ones waiting ages. Have you had your valuation booked and waiting to hear the results? Or still waiting for a valuation to be booked? I keep checking the website for service updates too 😂Nationwide application- FTB, 85% LTV

Nope nothing been said about Valuation. Paid to do the searches aswell because the seller has done most of her side and didn’t want that to delay us further either. Just want some communication 😂WinterInRome said:

We are the same... currently working day 8. We submitted direct to Nationwide and nothing. No valuation booked text or anything so I'm assuming they are underwriting first. I keep checking to see if any hard searches have been done but nothing.Vick7 said:

We have instructed our searches too as we don't want to cause the delay.
Had a bit of a panic because Nationwide have increased their interest rates but thankfully our application has been submitted so shouldn't cause us any issues.0 -
We went through MB. He was on annual leave last week but has text me an hour ago that he just got off the phone with NW and they do have the valuation report and will look at it tomorrow. Strange that I didn't receive a text from them confirming they had it like others have but fingers crossed this is the final hurdle.WinterInRome said:

I'm in the same boat as yourself. Application was submitted on 07/08 and valuation booked and carried out the same day. The online tracker shows that they received my valuation report on 09/08. I gave it the initial 8 working days and called up for an update. I've had to do this twice now as they're still sitting on the valuation report and both times i've been told "it'll be looked at an approved by close of business today." One of them even opened the report on the phone and talked me through it... no issues with it etc... but it's still sitting there. I understand they're busy but the sellers solicitors are pressing me for an update and I look a bit daft telling them it'll be done by close of business tomorrow and then I hear nothing.DJC10 said:This thread has been very informative and stress reducing to see that we aren't the only ones waiting ages. Your documentation online will also say you have reserved the product (and it will show the specific product code) so thankfully your rate is locked in.
I'm just glad i'm not the only one in this boat as I was getting anxious about delaying the sellers.1 -
