Is it worth me calling NW directly for an update? I don’t want to come across as pushy and MB won’t escalate my case even though we’re now WD 24 🤷🏻‍♀️
You can do if you feel really anxious about it but in my experience I regretted calling because there seemed to be an internal admin issue which they were trying to resolve and it made me worry even more since we hadn't heard anything from the MB except the need to wait. Trust your broker because they have a vested interest in the outcome too. I know it's really hard to be patient in these circumstances so I am hoping you get some good news soon!

I called them loads. It took us 30 working days to get our offer in the end. The timescales are awful. X

5th August I was asked to provide evidence of the scotland first home fund which my broker uploaded the same morning. Yesterday my broker received an update asking to update something on the application reflecting this (dont know exactly what needed changing but apparently something small)

Does this mean I'm likely to wait another 8 working days until I get my offer if this is the only thing pending? The wait is killing me

I'm just hoping that as its not a new document and an update to the application it shouldn't take a full 9 days but who knows. Valuation and everything else seems to be done. Was initially expecting my offer this Friday gone so very stressed thinking about waiting over another week

Hope all of your applications are going smoothly though!

They queried my commute (I'm a remote worker buying 200 miles away from my registered work address) and asked for further bank statements on Friday via MB, responded straight away and had my valuation text sent on Monday morning, so if that's anything to go by I doubt you'll be waiting 9 days for that update to be processed.

Interesting, NW have added new information about valuations to their service updates. Swear these weren't there yesterday.
I got a text this evening saying my valuation has been received, so could potentially be another 8 working days before a decision...

Mortgage application went in to Nationwide 14/07
Valuation booked and provided same day 17/07
Questions from nationwide re paying loan off - provided answer same day
10/08 - application escalated by BDM via MA
14/08 - only waiting for valuation to be ticked off now (Despite being told by nationwide verbally on 31/07 that it was okay)
17/08 - Valuation received, approved and mortgage offer text all within minutes of each other.
Keep the faith everyone! Hope you all hear soon!
  • Eventually... after various phone calls yesterday between Nw and broker I have finally received our mortgage offer via text this morn. So relieved. Good luck to everyone 🤞🏼
    NW timescales:
    DIP: 13/7
    App: 16/7
    Valuation: 6/8
    NW offer: 20/8
