    Also at the moment if there is any element of self employment it will also be referred for someone to physically look at it.

    I got a DIP direct from Nationwide a few days before I knew it'd be the one my MB recommended, and that was referred (90% LTV FTB) too, so looks like anything 90% is being checked extra hard. My actual application was with the underwriter for 3 weeks before I even had a valuation instructed.

    I’m a nurse so no self-employment here, or Covid-19 furlough.. hopefully I’ll hear something this week, it’s driving me nuts! The final step and it’s taking forever! Good luck to you all too! Fingers crossed we hear this week! Xx

  • Help! I’m frustrated beyond belief! 
    Offer accepted on house 31/06
    Mortgage application went in to Nationwide 14/07 (previously went to Barclays but fell through)  
    Valuation booked and provided same day 17/07
    Questions from nationwide re paying loan off - provided answer same day as well as proof 20/07 
    10/08 - application escalated by BDM via MA
    14/08 - only waiting for valuation to be ticked off now (Despite being told by nationwide directly on 31/07 that it was okay) 
    17/08 - still waiting mortgage offer

    will the waiting ever end :(
    Update... we got our mortgage offer today! In total 34 days from application to offer!

    Update... we got our mortgage offer today! In total 34 days from application to offer!
    Congrats! They go by working days, so 25 working days. So much for their 20 day timescale 🙈
