Finally got our offer text from Nationwide today. I can now relax!

Mortgage advisor sent us a copy of the offer via email within the hour just to check over everything.

Good luck to all those waiting!
  • Congrats @jo4514! Was a long time coming, just glad it finally came through for you 😊

Thanks @Pinky_1990! Fingers crossed you get your offer soon too! 😊
  • Does anyone know what the ‘Post offer assessment’ is in reference to on https://www.nationwide-intermediary.co.uk/placing-business/service-updates ?

Apparently all of my documents have been accepted and the valuation received and also accepted, so I’m just curious what we’re waiting for now. My broker said everything was sorted and I’d get the offer once the valuation came back ok. But that’s happened and I’m still waiting on an offer… just feel like it’s constant waiting.
  • Hi everyone,

does anyone know roughly how long it will be after the valuation to hear back? Our valuation was almost a week ago but we still haven’t heard anything. I believe the rest of our documents are all in order and have been checked. Unsure what I am now waiting on and finding the wait completely unbearable!
  • I was told they have 3 working days to produce the survey report then another two working days for an assessment.
My valuation was this Tuesday and we can’t chase til next Wednesday.
User name should now read NowWhereIWantToBe

Amount overpaid so far £8298 (2022)

Overpayment ready to add to funds when fixed deal runs out July 2027 £23968

Mortgage end date when taken out : July 2050
Mortgage current end date : January 2047

    MFW #83 Overpayments for 2025
    Jan £304 Feb £346 Mar £298 April £344 May £214 June £200 July £200

    Daily interest £3.37
    Percentage owned 48.5%
  • I chased my MB and they said our valuation has been approved but they are awaiting NW to review more documents. This has been a week now.
  • Joining the circle. 5 working days from completion, everything done but buyer’s solicitor has noticed Nationwide have put the wrong lease length on their mortgage offer (85 when it should be 120).

This was raised last Thursday, still waiting to hear back. Agonising as we’re cutting it so close to mortgage expiry dates etc.
Still waiting on this, 5 working days since submitting for a small alteration. If we don’t hear back by Monday morning latest my chain collapses & my buyer risks being homeless as she’s already given her notice in.
Still waiting. My mortgage offer has now timed out and I'm having to reapply. It has been escalated a number of times and it's still being passed back and forth between Nationwide's departments. I was supposed to have moved in last Wednesday, now it looks like the chain is going to collapse unless Nationwide respond positively in the next few days. I'm at a loss at this broken, broken system that we all have to go through to move house.

    Hi,
Joining this thread to see where everyone else is up to, and compare notes!

Boyfriend's mortgage application done today via video call. Had to extend term by additional 2 years to get it agreed, but then the monthly payments came in at less than what he said he'd be happy to pay. I'm still scratching my head about that, I'm assuming it was due to affordability.

    Anyway...

Thur 17th Feb - viewed house, offer accepted
Sat 19th Feb - DIP agreed via online chat, after initial refusal of online submission
Tue 1st March - full application using lower deposit/increased borrowing than that in DIP

I'll keep you all updated xx
