Hi Everyone.Long time lurker here. I’ve just had my mortgage offer received today from Nationwide (whoop) and wanted to give some of you guys my recent timeline
02/02 - DIP submitted - referred
03/02 - DIP accepted
03/02 -23/02 - applied with another lender due to early repayment charge on my current mortgage.23/02 - came back from other lender saying they’d only lend me 80% LTV.
23/02 - full application with mortgage broker to nationwide
23/02 - text received saying valuation booked
25/02 Valuation carried out
28/02 - request to see Feb 22 wage slip.
02/03 - Email to say valuation received and will be reviewed shortly
07/03 - Hard search carried out on equifax and TransUnion
09/03 - 09:02am text and Email to say mortgage offer issued and emailed to broker.Pretty painless but a lot of checking emails and charging my phone due to the constant checking draining my battery!!!All in all not really a long time to wait but there’s my timescales for any other lurkers like me0 -
We are having our house valued tomorrow - have many people had theirs down valued? I’ve just heard that lenders are getting twitchy and down valuing but not sure how true this is? Getting worried now0

Been 9 days now of asking for it and nationwide said they won’t lend without it.Apparently it’s ‘not on the list of priorities’ for the seller to email it on, according to the sales progressor 😡One email and we’d probably get an offer…
It’s only been three weeks since we put the application in, so it’s not too bad, but it could have been much quicker.Hoping it arrives this week and then a few more days for NW to look at it. And then fingers crossed!0 -
Newbie here. Applied for a Nationwide mortgage through my broker after Halifax wouldn't accept my paid holiday days. Nationwide queried it as well, I've got it in my contract and also confirmed in email by my employer. It's been over a week since the application, 2 days since the query and response and I've heard nothing. they've done a hard search as I saw it on the 16th in my credit report. The only issue in my report was a agreement to pay for credit card and was fully paid off in September 2016.Just getting so stressed by it all and the idea that me accruing paid holiday is causing a problem. So desperate for an answer0

Offer put in and accepted on 28/02/22 on property.Boyfriend’s put DIP and declined and then rejigged amounted and term accepted 13/03/22.
mortgage video call done 31/03/22 with boyfriends mortgage with nationwide and mortgage advance wanted accepted. Had to reduce term from 25 to 22 due to his age.Valuation booked for 05/04/22.0 -
Applied through a broker on 05/04 - received AIP and full application submitted on same day.
05/04 - text to say that valuation was booked the same day. Perhaps this is because we are in Scotland and all properties have a home report valuation?
05/04 - text to say that the valuation report has been received
No further news since then. The frustrating thing about applying through broker is that we can't log in to track application progress online.
Our sellers solicitor has requested a date of entry which is 3 weeks from today. Really hoping we have enough time. I feel glued to my phone just now!1 -

application 10/3 text of acknowledgment and valuation booked 18/3
15/3 Asked for Feb bank statements. I’d already sent everything to my MA but she clearly misplaced it. Sent same day.
18/3 Text, valuation received
22/3 Nationwide asked for latest credit card statements, sent same day.
28/3 Nationwide emailed MA to say mortgage fully agreed and offer getting prepped and will be sent in a couple of days.
Nothing since then, their communication has been atrocious. MA has now asked for the case to be escalated.I hope you hear from them soon. All the best.1 -

The valuation was approved on 8th April.
Nationwide requested some extra documents, which took a long time to be reviewed.
Our broker escalated our application and we finally received a text this morning (20th April) to say that our offer had been issued.
All the best to those who are waiting to hear.0
