3rd May - email from MB to request April payslip
3rd May - Hard search
4th May - I emailed MB to check if valuation and credit check was ok - replied yes to both have, just waiting on payslip to be approved then hopefully offer
🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 God I hate waiting 😩😩😩Good luck to everyone waiting!! Hope we’re all put out of our misery soon 🤪
21 April - Submitted application through MB.
22 April - Nationwide text saying they have received the application.
23 April - Nationwide text saying the valuation is booked for 28th April.
28 April - Nationwide text saying the valuation has been received.
4 May - MB/Nationwide asked for more documents for proof of deposit and to clarify some of our circumstances. The broker said the application is now in the Underwriter's Queue. As far as I know, that's the final queue for approval so fingers crossed that means there were no glaring issues with our application.
8th May - Hard search on Credit Karma. Weirdly the 8th is a Sunday.
Now just waiting. I'm hoping for a result this week!
Their broker website is showing 15 working days on average from submission to approval. It was 13 when we initially applied so its went up slightly.
We applied and got accepted for a mortgage in January with Halifax and from application to approval was 3 days. So this is painful in comparison especially as Nationwide's policy is sightly stricter surrounding our circumstances compared to Halifax!0 -

7/04 DIP from Nationwide
12/04 offer accepted
20/04 Application sent to Nationwide
20/04 Text confirming application received
27/04 NW requested additional pages of our proof of deposit
Not heard anything else yet but assuming because of the bank holidays it’s going to take a while!
04/05 Received this text: Hi, Nationwide here. We've received the valuation report for your mortgage application. We'll review this and be in touch if we need any more information.
Fingers crossed we’ll get a decision next week!0 -

This gives me some hope. At least I'm not the only one that didn't get a valuation text straight away. I was starting to worry! Fingers crossed for us this week1 -

Sigh of relief as Nationwide have already taken our product off the market.0 -
Hi All,
This thread has been really useful for me and my partner.
We are currently awaiting the outcome of our mortgage...
I spoke to Nationwide today and they explained the valuation report is fine, we passed the vetting stage and now it's just awaiting the underwriter to check the affordability... is this to match what we put in the decision in principle? Really worried something might not go ok... and what the time frame this is?
So far heres out process.
5th May - Submitted and reserved application by MB
6th May - Valuation booked in for the 11th May and recevied
11th May - Valuation report received
12th May - NW on phone confirmed valuation report and vetting stage was ok but now with underwriter..

Hi guys, new here! Our LTV ratio is 60%, both self employed and we are applying through a broker. It's been over 3 weeks now and I'm so nervous. I agree with PP that it is annoying that we can't log in and look ourselves due to it being submitted by the broker.
Does anyone know whether you can see whether individual parts of the application, such as the valuation and credit checks, have been accepted, or do we not find out until the final decision? Here is our timeline:7 April DIP submitted and referred, due to us both being self employed11 April offer accepted on house12 April DIP accepted21st April full mortgage sign up23rd April application received by Nationwide (text message)28th April Valuation booked6th May Valuation report received (text)9th May Hard search on Clearscore11th May MB called to say that Nationwide have requested proof of funds for deposit. Submitted documents and haven't heard since!0 -

13th May - Offer made
Reason we had such a big gap was NW asked for some more details with regards our address in between Valuation and offer What I do know is there seems to be big waiting times at NW right now.0 -

thank you so much for the reply, this is really helpful. There does seem to be a bit of a backlog by the looks of it, hopefully I receive it this week coming; who knows!
congrats on your mortgage offer!0
