Thanks matey, got there in the end! Cheers all round!
  • Getting a little obsessed with these feeds.

DIP referred and approved with NW a couple of weeks ago, Help 2 Buy Equity loan approved and now MB submitted our full app on Fri 5th Nov, how long do you think we will be waiting for an update?
  • Also getting obsessed with these feeds!

FTB single buyer, got my text for my application submission on the 2nd, nationwide came back on 10th asking more info about my gifted deposit, which MB had so was able to send off straight away, and a hard credit search appeared today (12th). Mortgage broker advised me on the 4th that a valuation had been instructed but not heard anything yet.

Not sure if things are a bit different with buying a new build with the valuation etc...it’s all very stressful!
  • Had a mortgage with a different lender and a separate h2b equity loan. Redeemed it and remortgaged to nationwide. Timescales:

    1. 09 Sept - app received
    2. 17 Sept - mortgage offer issued

    Super easy.

    Hello all,

I am losing the plot a little and just after a little reassurance.

We are going through an application with NW using a MB on a RTB property. Communication hasn't been great but that's another matter.

We put in a full application on the 18th August. Sent off payslips, deposit proof, EPC. Had a few niggles and one thing and another. Been told today (30th Sept) that all documents have been marked as satisfied and have requested a valuation but no date.

Had a hard search completed on the 17th September.

    No other communication.

What does this mean? What stage are we at?

It seems like a very lengthy process so far, I don't know if I should be putting more pressure on the MB or just ride it out?
Well today, on the advice of others phoned Nationwide directly, who were very helpful. I have now managed to book the valuation on 14th Oct, with SDL Surveying but I am seeing some nightmare reviews on undervaluing so I am absolutely dreading it! Anyone else have experience of these?
    Update....

We had a speedy but through visit by the surveyor, on the 14th Oct, she sent the report back the same day.

It then took Nationwide 5 working days to respond, we then got on the 21st October a text message confirming the report had been recieved, followed by 3 others confirming approval of the mortgage offer.

We recieved the update from L&C the next day and the mortgage offer via the portal 2 days later.

We are now in a approximately 20 week contract turnaround! So hoping to complete February/March.

I would say I am happy we used L&C to find the right mortgage but then the updates were lagging and I struggled with that. I communicated directly with Nationwide and we got things moving quicker. So if anyone is using a broker and finding it slow, I would go direct.
  • Hi everyone,

I’ve just seen that Nationwide have reduced their interest rates since our offer was issued - does anyone know if it’s possible to ask for the new lower rate please? And if so, how laborious ( or tense!) the process is?
  • Adding my own experience to this, rather than just lurking!

9/11 - DIP approved (took a few tries, as my credit report was still pulling through my paid-off mortgage and a loan that hadn’t updated)

12/11 - Full application submitted. Received a message later that day that said the valuation survey was booked for 15/11.

15/11 - received an email at 7.30am saying that the valuation report had been received.

Of course, instead of being happy everything’s moving along quickly I’m feeling nervous that it’s all going very fast

    Hello,

I thought id jump on this and share my timeline so far.
    FTB

    19th oct - AIP
22nd oct - Mortgage application submitted
28th oct - Valuation of property
01st nov - results of valuation received and accepted (two texts one after the other within seconds)
    01st nov - hard check

and now still waiting for my offer, fingers crossed I hear soon as I see a lot of people got theirs straight away. My MA has been brilliant and updates me daily if he has heard anything but he's hoping for some kind of decision today.

    Just an Update

09th Nov - NW asked for my October Bank Statement as they only had the latest three when submitting.

13th Nov - Text and email received Mortgage offered.

Its been a bit harder for myself as I'm single buyer with a child. But got there in the end hope everyone else gets there offers soon.
  • Has anyone had their DIP referred to underwriters and asked to submit documents before getting your official DIP? Does it mean that it might be quicker in the long run?
    12/11 DIP refer
15/12 DIP received Full App submitted
    15/12 text confirmation received

Our situation is a bit of a stressful one. We are buying an repossessed property from a bank and the condition of sale was that we HAVE to exchange on it before the 30th November. (4 weeks from when they accepted our offer) We tried with Halifax first but got declined as I’d only been on my new wage for 1 month. I’m honestly so terrified we won’t get an offer in time.
