Hi All,
New poster here, but been reading through this thread has helped me a lot even though I had a relatively short wait compared to a lot of you. Myself and partner buying new build as FTB with 5% deposit with help to buy equity loan. Thought my timeline might be a bit of a positive example for those who have applied:
04/07 - Saw new build development we wanted for the first time - told house we wanted wasn't available to reserve until 20/08
05/07 - DIP with Nationwide accepted
23/08 - Reserved new build property
25/08 - Full Mortgage Application submitted to Nationwide
27/08 - Valuation booked for 09/08
02/08 - ATP provided by HTB agent
09/08 - 1.50pm valuation received by Nationwide - 1 min later mortgage offer issued
Went really smoothly but was still of course impatient throughout. I'm sure the smoothness was down to our great Mortgage Advisor in some part at least. Only payslips and bank statements 3 months were requested along with proof of ID.
Just got to wait for mortgage offer in the post now while the conveyancers hopefully crack on with their bits.

The wait to hear something is killing me, I might have to cave & give them another ring at lunch to see where they’re at and if they’ve got everything they need🤔0

Give it a go! Fingers crossed you get some news soon.I wonder if the timescales are dependent on who you get managing your case? There doesn’t seem to be any particular rhyme or reason for how quickly things progress, looking at people’s timelines.0

We have our mortgage appointment on Monday and been asked for loads of information. Solicitors pack filled in and sent off today and first money paid (hopefully not wasted). I will be pleased when Monday is done and then the waiting will start.0

@Mover2021 - I think so! I’ve spoke to a nice man and he said the document was received the 7th and they’re currently working to 6 days so it should definitely be reviewed by Wednesday and if that’s okay, he’s hoping it should get to offer🤞🏻Time lines are so up and down it’s really tough to get an idea of where yours will be at.@Los893 - good luck with everything!0
