Mine has been a bit slow with mistakes along the way. Hopeful will get there:
16/09/21: AIP and formal application submitted through broker.
16/09/21: Soft check completed on Equifax with my surname misspelled.
16/09/21: Contacted broker who amended the surname.
22/09/21: Broker contacted Nationwide and their current service levels are 7 working days. Broker advised to call for an update once the 7 days have passed.
26/09/21: Hard search completed on Equifax again with my surname misspelled. Interesting check was done on Sunday.
27/09/21: Nationwide wanting further information through broker regarding working hours for my second job.
28/09/21: Information regarding my second job working hours submitted via broker.
28/09/21: Broker advising that the surname has been amended on the application so I shouldn't worry.
28/09/21: Contacted Nationwide myself regarding completing credit checks using misspelled surname. Advised the correct surname is on the application but my profile has incorrect surname. They will contact their admin team to change this. Also, they confirmed to have received additional information regarding my second job and will take two working days to assess.

Hello all,
I am losing the plot a little and just after a little reassurance.
We are going through an application with NW using a MB on a RTB property. Communication hasn't been great but that's another matter.
We put in a full application on the 18th August. Sent off payslips, deposit proof, EPC. Had a few niggles and one thing and another. Been told today (30th Sept) that all documents have been marked as satisfied and have requested a valuation but no date.
Had a hard search completed on the 17th September.
No other communication.
What does this mean? What stage are we at?
It seems like a very lengthy process so far, I don't know if I should be putting more pressure on the MB or just ride it out?0 -
My experience so far applying through a mortage broker, single applicant with 15% deposit.21st September mortage application received23rd September valuation booked29th September valuation carrried out30th September hard search carried outI'm now waiting to hear if the valuation went ok and if the application was succesful0

Our application seems to have stalled so I'm having to phone around to keep things moving.
- 7th Sep - Application submitted directly through Nationwide using one of their advisors
- 8th Sep - The online portal updates stating all documents received and accepted
- 8th Sep - I get a call from Countrywide surveyors to arrange my buildings survey
- 16th Sep - Vendor's estate agent confirms valuation booked for 23rd Sep
- 21st Sep - Surveyor's portal confirms outsourced buildings survey booked
- 28th Sep - I contact Nationwide asking what the delay is and am told they are waiting on the valuation
- 30th Sep - Vendor's estate agent confirms both surveys have been carried out on their booked days
- 30th Sep - I contact Countrywide asking where the valuation has gone and they say they won't supply it until the buildings survey report has completed, which will take another week or so(!) They suggest Nationwide send a Post Valuation Query (PVQ) to Countrywide to request the valuation now.
- 30th Sep - I ask Nationwide to request a PVQ and am awaiting their response.
Hey ho, all part of the fun of house buying I suppose0 -
Hiya! First time home buyer here -- full application sent August 27th (with mortgage broker) and finally the valuation took place today (after rescheduling 3 times)
Hoping to hear an answer from Nationwide within the next week - as we are already moving out of our rented apartment
Did ya'll receive a mortgage offer via post? We move out October 10th and in with family... so thinking I might need to update our address with Nationwide0 -

01/10/21: Phoned broker who after checking updates advised that Nationwide has accepted both of my incomes - now potentially waiting for valuation to be booked.
04/10/21: Phoned Nationwide who advised my application is on refer cases list - re update on correct surname (see above). So, application has gone to another evaluation using my correct surname. This will be done by 05/10/21.
04/10/21: Two subsequent credit searches and two credit quotations on Equifax using my correct surname.0 -

Our valuation was completed and report received on Friday... they said we should have our next update this Friday. Praying the update is an actual offer. I called nationwide and they were super helpful - he opened the report and confirmed the house was appraised at value. He said it would take up to 6 days for the report to be officially reviewed
Does anyone know if getting to this point, means we are likely to receive an offer? Surely they wouldn't have gone through with a valuation (after rescheduling 3 times), if they weren't prepared to make us an offer?
Sorry - just very anxious as we applied back on Aug 270
