Hello,at which stage Nationwide asked for proof of deposit please? Will it be a problem if we are £500 short when putting in an application but will have more than enough by completion?0

We have applied for ours through a broker.
20/09/21 - broker sent of DIP23/09/21 - Application received
27/09/21 - Valuation booked03/10/21 - hard search05/10/21 - Valuation.
Previous mortgage for same house fell through from being devalued. Praying this doesn't happen again as I know this is a big issue in today's current market.0 -

I've heard that people received confirmation usually within 24 hours of the valuation (sometimes within the same hour) so I'd be interested to find out when you get yours!
Out of interest, do you know if yours is a drive by valuation? I think ours might be because I've not heard anything from the estate agent to say that they've had a valuation booked with the vendor0 -

I am quite far down the line with Nationwide's mortgage team.
16 September 2021 - Applied for DIP
16 September 2021 - Received DIP
23 September 2021 - 2.5hr Mortgage Call
23 September 2021 - Passed checks but referred due to LTV % only
24 September 2021 - All docs sent to Nationwide
27 September 2021 - Valuation complete
28 September 2021 - Valuation approvedI should also note that the flat is actually worth £1.1m (I got it valued by Foxtons) but I am buying it for £875k.
Still waiting to hear back. I just saw that they left me a voicemail saying that they have an update - this was LAST THURSDAY. They didn't follow it up with an email. I will call in the morning.
I checked my credit file tonight and they haven't done a hard check (oddly). I also was pleasantly surprised to see my score has risen by 159 points!0 -
Mine has been a bit slow with mistakes along the way. Hopeful will get there:
16/09/21: AIP and formal application submitted through broker.
16/09/21: Soft check completed on Equifax with my surname misspelled.
16/09/21: Contacted broker who amended the surname.
22/09/21: Broker contacted Nationwide and their current service levels are 7 working days. Broker advised to call for an update once the 7 days have passed.
26/09/21: Hard search completed on Equifax again with my surname misspelled. Interesting that the check was done on Sunday.
27/09/21: Nationwide wanting further information through broker regarding working hours for my second job.
28/09/21: Information regarding my second job working hours submitted via broker.
28/09/21: Broker advising that the surname has been amended on the application so I shouldn't worry.
28/09/21: Contacted Nationwide myself regarding completing credit checks using misspelled surname. Advised the correct surname is on the application but my profile has incorrect surname. They will contact their admin team to change this. Also, they confirmed to have received additional information regarding my second job and will take two working days to assess.
01/10/21: Phoned broker who after checking updates advised that Nationwide has accepted both of my incomes - now potentially waiting for valuation to be booked.
04/10/21: Phoned Nationwide who advised my application is on refer cases list - re update on correct surname (see above). So, application has gone to another evaluation using my correct surname. This will be done by 05/10/21.
04/10/21: Two subsequent credit searches and two credit quotations on Equifax and TransUnion using my correct surname.04/10/21: Broker advised Nationwide has accepted both of my income. They have a technique issue – just a glitch on their system to instruct the valuation.
04/10/21: Phoned Nationwide myself who advised that the technique issue has been fixed and they have instructed valuation, which will take place within 10 working days. Queried the status of my application and they advised that it has been formally accepted.
05/10/21: Email and text message from Nationwide that valuation has been booked for 08/10/2021. Updated estate agency who weren’t aware of this, so likely to be a drive through or desktop valuation?

Nationwide received the report today. Offer was issued straight after.
Now just getting solicitors to finish what they do before organising exchanged and completion.1 -
