@JAM0915 I am in the same boat - I have noticed the rates have reduced. I am going to speak with my broker on Wednesday so I will ask and report back  :)
I spoke to my broker this morning, and he said that he's going to see if we can amend the term to suit the better interest rate - fingers crossed! I'll let you know what happens, but hoping to atleast get the mortgage offer for now :)

Update - nationwide are waiting on another statement for the deposit, but the valuation came back approved so fingers crossed when they get the document they should have all they need! 🤞🏻

Thankfully I've had some wonderful news this morning and the timescales were not nearly as long as they said. My mortgage offer has been produced!

Like others I received a text telling me my valuation report was received and a minute later my mortgage offer was produced. I'll keep my fingers crossed for everyone else  :)
    Congratulations!!

I caved and rang NW just now - after their consultant telling me I'd hear back by COB Wednesday last week and me chasing and not hearing anything back since I had to do it for my own peace of mind! Apparently it's taken a few days for the updated docs I sent to filter down onto my application (annoying considering I sent them the week before last!). She said another document was attached today so to take it that it will be within the next 7 working days that I will hear as to whether they need more docs, offer a lower amount, approve the full application, etc. :s

Ah what a pain, the waiting is the worst! But I’m sure you’ll hear something sooner than expected, all the best for you!
I’ve sent the deposit docs to my broker just so fingers crossed I will hear something soon too.
  • I've still not heard anything either, getting really disheartened now. Last week I was apparently in the queue for the extra document I requested to be assessed. Goodness knows how long the queue is.

I used this SLA page to get a rough idea. Also I'm sure there is no harm in calling them and asking for an update.

Try not to get disheartened, I would personally give them a ring if I was you tomorrow & just ask the question - Atleast then you might have a better idea :)
  • Hi everyone,
My valuation was meant to be taking place today - it was just the first level survey as it's not an old house.
Does anyone know how long this takes to turn into a report and then offer? We are existing customers so all paperwork has been done.
  • At what point did you instruct your solicitors to represent you during the mortgage process please?

@Borisbearworrier - it seems to be taking totally different time scales for each person, all the best & hope you hear soon!

@Los893 - we chose to instruct our solicitors once we agreed on purchasing the house, this is so the searches could be started alongside the mortgage application rather than waiting as these can take up to 12 weeks! :)
