Fab another one! Congratulations! We submitted our extra docs on the 6th so maybe we'll hear something Wednesday then going by your timeline. You must be so relieved!

My wife is super anxious that we won't get an offer so fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly.
Any information that would be helpful on the process would be greatly appreciated at this time!
    Thanks :-)
Good luck! Nationwide are pretty slow so just be prepared for it to take a while is my only advice! Our full application was submitted 3 weeks ago tomorrow and our valuation was done 2 days later so no problems there but it's all the document checking that's taken time with them asking for a document, taking a week to check it, then asking for another document and having to wait another week. Patience is not my strong point so it's been painful lol!

So I think everything is OK, but Nationwide have told us there has been an IT issue so our ID hadn't been verified and that's what has held everything up. They've fixed it now but have said now it needs to be reviewed it might take untill Friday 😒 Broker has been in to them today to try and get it done sooner as it's their error. But crawling to the finish line.
Oh no what a pain! Hopefully your broker can hurry them along a bit!

Yes super happy about, feel like I've got over a big hurdle! I have a survey next week. So hopefully that doesnt kick up anything, but I couldnt see anything too wrong with the property. Just the waiting game now.

Hope others get some good news this week too!

We’ve just had the same kind of issue, Our IMA went to submit our application today but he can’t seem to access our case to submit further details, he’s been on the phone to Nationwide for 45 mins who said it’s a “Technical Glitch” - might be tomorrow now :(

I found out our broker hadn't submitted our application until yesterday morning (I thought she'd done it Saturday) but I'm sure it won't make much difference in terms of turnaround etc.
We got our texts from Nationwide yesterday confirming the application then heard in the afternoon from our MA that our gift letter for our deposit had been rejected so we are having to redo that now but I was quite surprised that they had already began checking the documents that same day!

Apparently Nationwide have an issue getting the application across the line due to our address issue causing a glitch, Our apartment number is the same as our building number.. come on really? Anyone ever come across something like this?
Big shout to our MA for keeping us in the loop and doing all he can to get our application done. *Fingers crossed*
  • Here is our time scale if this helps anyone. I would say that I have been constantly chasing up to try to hurry the process
had I not I would still be waiting not knowing exactly what the underwriter was requesting .

17/4 Applied for mortgage directly through Nationwide mortgage consultant
20/4 Text notification Valuation booked for 23/4
    26/4  Text notification Valuation received
27/4 Nationwide requested credit card info
29/4 Chased on phone ,mortgage consultant said proofs should be fine and valuation is fine
Mortgage consultant now on holidays until 18/5🤷🏻‍♀️
4/5 Chased again still requesting CC info which had already been sent
6/5 Chased again was advised underwriter wants nil balance on card even though it hasn’t been keyed that way!
Challenged and asked to resend back to underwriting
7/5 Chased again still no response chased again spoke to another person who advised
Underwriters want credit card info with account number name and address and date on !!
    9/5 Emailed statements
10/5 Chased to check proofs are logged , no proofs are not logged they can’t be found ?
10/5 Resent proofs directly to Operative asked her to reply to me by email to confirm received which she did

Yeah proof of deposit is where we've got stuck. Part of our deposit is in a LISA and the £1000 bonus for the 21/22 tax year is pending and will clear at the end of the month. Our broker was confident that they'd accept the pending bonus but apparently not as they've asked for an up to date statement because it turns out they want to see the bonus, but we can't get that until it clears later this month. 🙄 So I've had to send a statement for a different savings account to show the funds elsewhere even though we won't be using that money for the deposit just to get it signed off by them. Hopefully they'll be happy with that!
And now we have to do this as we are in the exact same situation. It's never ending 😭

Oh it's such a pain isn't it! If they come back and ask more questions now I'll cry!
