Nationwide wanted proof of deposit today, even though my savings account with it in is a nationwide account apparently they can't just look. So broker sent it over today and she said usually when they get to deposit checking its towards the end of the process so fingers crossed 🤞 valuation was agreed so that's good and I hope that if they were going to decline us they would have by now?! I am a nervous wreck, all the waiting us driving me nuts!!!
@C_N_ I really hope you get your offer tomorrow!!

Yeah proof of deposit is where we've got stuck. Part of our deposit is in a LISA and the £1000 bonus for the 21/22 tax year is pending and will clear at the end of the month. Our broker was confident that they'd accept the pending bonus but apparently not as they've asked for an up to date statement because it turns out they want to see the bonus, but we can't get that until it clears later this month. 🙄 So I've had to send a statement for a different savings account to show the funds elsewhere even though we won't be using that money for the deposit just to get it signed off by them. Hopefully they'll be happy with that!

They certainly like to make us work for it don't they haha! Did your broker say when they think you'll next get an update? Hopefully you're nearly there now!

@wishinghome she sad nationwide told her they would imput the figures today, so I don't know if the underwriters do that or if document checkers do and then it goes back to them? Either way she was hopeful we would hear by Tuesday 🤞

That's not too bad then. Hopefully you get a decision from them soon. 🤞🏻

    @wishinghome you too!
  • Morning all!
Valuation was done on the property yday and I guess now it is a waiting game - still!
Our application was received April 14th (through a NW mortgage advisor).

    Hello all!

Just wanted to say hi as we submitted a nationwide mortgage application today so thought I’d follow along with this thread.

Everything has gone fairly quickly for us so far but I imagine it’ll slow right down now that we’re waiting on applications to go through.

We’re buying a new build that we won’t be able to move into until Oct/Nov so still a lot to do and a long way to go!

    Timeline so far:

22/04/2021 - received mortgage in principle

    28/04/2021 - viewed house

    30/04/2021 - offer accepted

    03/05/2021 - officially ‘reserved’ plot

05/05/2021 - help to buy application

    08/05/2021 - mortgage application

Look forward to waiting with everyone 🙊

  • Hello everyone, Happy Saturday!

Like many above I'm also buying a new build. Here's how the timeline has been for me:

    • 22/04/2021 - Mortgage application submitted by broker & received automated email and text confirming details
    • 23/04/2021 - Text & email from Nationwide saying property valuation booked for 29/04/2021
    • 04/05/2021 - Followed up with Nationwide & heard they've received property valuation and are awaiting review
    • 08/05/2021 - Received 3 texts & emails from Nationwide. The first saying they've received the valuation report, the 2nd saying the valuation report has been approved, and the 3rd to confirm they've issued my mortgage offer!

Overall the process wasn't too painful. Best of luck to everyone waiting for news!
