@wishinghome so frustrating but great news it will go to offer once they process it!1

Yes I'm trying to look on the bright side! Hopefully we're all nearing the end now. We've held off on instructing the solicitors to start waiting on the mortgage but I'm wondering if we should get that started now.0

It all sounds v positive! Weird they've asked for an updated statement though. I bet you can't decide whether to celebrate or not!wishinghome said:Yes I'm trying to look on the bright side! @wishinghome its entirely up to you. We've had our start searches, they said its about £500 of work so prepared to lose that if the worse happened but I didn't want the vendor worrying nothing was happening as we got our offer accepted on 10th April.0

Ha yes that's exactly it! I'm still worried something will fall over at the last hurdle so I don't think we'll feel able to celebrate until we've got the official mortgage offer!C_N_ said:

Yes our offer was accepted on 13th April so not long after you. Ours is a probate sale which can delay things and we're FTBs so there's no chain so I figured we had time to wait but maybe it's best to instruct them to start now if NW are going to take another week as that will be 4 weeks since we had the offer accepted which is getting on a bit.katykins05 said:@wishinghome its entirely up to you. I instructed solicitors the min I had the offer accepted and mortgage application sent off. The solicitors have done a fair chunk of the work already. Figured it would help speed the whole thing along.
That said the solicitors I instructed said if the sale falls through I don't have to pay them. So figured I have nothing to lose. Broker was also fairly convinced I would be ok getting the mortgage.
Still I would feel a lot better once I have the actual mortgage!0 -

Thanks all, I think I'll contact the solicitors in the morning!0 -
Fingers crossed it's tomorrow then 🙄 Any news for anyone else?C_N_ said:Afternoon all
I've been following this and a few other threads closely whilst waiting on our NW offer, here is our timescale:
13/04 Application submitted via broker
15/04 Valuation booked for 22/04
22/04 Valuation survey complete and Hard credit check done
28/04 Valuation survey received
Spoke to our broker this afternoon, the feedback he's had is that the underwriters have slowed right down and currently have a 6 day SLA, so we may be waiting until next Friday for the valuation to be assessed and underwritten 😩
Both FTB and not dealing well with all this waiting around 😅
