Wonder why only random applicants are getting updates via text, valuation report done and Recieved is one, I had to ring nationwide to find out it had been done 🤷♂️0

@Bessant31 that is odd, I wonder if the broker at point of application has to tick a box to say that the client wants to receive text updates and hasn't for some? I hot a text when valuation was booked, then got one Wednesday afternoon to say they had received our valuation and will review it and get in touch if they need anything else. I really hope I'm not waiting 6 working days for them to look at it, that would mean next Friday 😭0

I've only ever got 2 text messages from them, the 1st to say they had recieved our application and 2nd was to say valuation was booked, makes me wonder do the updates go to your broker if you have 1, was hoping to get offer before bank holiday 😐0

I've only had two texts + 1 email from NW. One text to say they have received the application and then one text and one email to say the valuation has been received.
Broker knew from speaking to NW when the valuation was booked for. But I was never made aware until after the fact. It does seem to be a bit random.

Mortgage offer is only thing we're waiting for now for us to proceed, all searches have been done and had draft contracts, sellers want it all completed before stamp duty holiday ends, which is end off June so we have 8 weeks 👀😂0

We are FTB, applying for 85% LTV. Buying from our landlords, who are giving the rest of the property value as equity to us.
Our mortgage application took around 3 weeks in total. Got a text from NW to say application received. Then the next day 2 texts to say valuation booked, then immediately after, valuation received.
Never got any more texts until we got our offer confirmation about 2.5 weeks later.
In hindsight, the process was really smooth and swift, however at the time it was awful waiting for an answer.
Now we're at the point of dealing with solicitors. If you think NW making you wait 5 days to look at a document is bad, then you're in for a treat with your conveyancer 🤣 after a week of saying they are waiting for draft contracts to be sent from sellers solicitors, it turns out they've been sat in her inbox all this time.....
Fingers crossed for everyone waiting for your answers from NW0 -
