That's odd I didn't think Nationwide were one of the lenders offering 95% LTV mortgages yet?
Apparently the underwriters requested another document which my broker sent yesterday so I guess we'll be waiting at least another week for an update. This is definitely going to be a long BH weekend!0 -
I thought that too, could be 95% with HTB? I see they advertise that.
Like you said going to be a long BH weekend.... Can't remember the last time I did not want a Bank Holiday!0 -
newbuildbudget said:I’m getting very antsy as I hate waiting on things out of my control. We’ve gone through a broker so had our DIP before we even started viewing property so we knew what we may be offered. Going for a new build borrowing £30k less than our DIP with 85% LTV.
7th April - Full Application submitted
14th April - Text to say valuation booked for the 23rd
16th April - Hard Credit Check
23rd April - Valuation presumably done but no confirmation of anything
I can’t stop scrolling through these threads because it’s the only concrete information I have on nationwide mortgages! I’m hoping that the valuation gets submitted Monday and we know something soon.
26th April - there was a discrepancy somewhere with the house purchase price so sent our solicitor’s letter with a breakdown to the broker who sent onto Nationwide
28th April (15 mins ago) - two texts in succession. One saying valuation received, and another saying mortgage offer issued. So 15 working days (14 excluding day of submitting) in all which is what the estimate on the intermediary website when we applied.0 -
We are still waiting - 10 working days today since application was received (NW confirmed with text and email).
We have yet to be given a valuation day yet?!
Mortgage advisor emailed Monday to say the application was progressing....

Bit of an update:
07/04/2021 - DIP
07/04/2021 - Application Submitted
09/04/2021 - Mortgage Valuation booked
13/04/2021 - Valuation received (Text and email)
16/04/2021 - Hard Check
21/04/2021 - request for additional documents*
28/04/2021 - Call from broker - Advised me Nationwide will either have an answer for me today or tomorrow.
*When the additional documents were requested, if they're received after a certain time (unknown) they will be classes as received the next working day.
Also, any time frames they give you. For example 4 working days. They count them from day zero then onwards. So it doesn't start on day one. Just incase anyone was curious.0 -
I'll update my timeline as I've had some confirmation of valuation. Gives others an idea:
Jan - April - House hunting, MiP for borrowing produced through broker in Feb.
13/04 - Made offer on house
14/04 - Offer rejected - Adjusted my offer
15/04 - Offer accepted
16/04 - Sales Memo gone out.
16/04 - Application processed through Broker - Submitted Payslips, Proof of deposit etc
16/04 - Soft Credit Check pass,
16/04 - Text message from Nationwide saying they had received application
21/04 - Chased Broker as no updates, Broker advised me Nationwide can take up to 5 working days to process.
22/04 - Valuation carried out (according to Broker)
25/04 - Hard Credit Check by Nationwide.
26/04 - Valuation returned to Nationwide.
Broker seems to think I will have offer on 30/4 or 4/5.1 -

Currently waiting for Nationwide to receive/assess the latest survey as the Homebuyers Report wasn't processed properly for the first survey. This meant they've had to instruct one from scratch three weeks later just adding to the stress of it all.
Just hope it's a quick send of an offer once this is done otherwise a waste of 4 weeks waiting!0 -
@cheshire2021 congratulations! Amazing news!0

Currently still waiting aswell, I phoned nationwide directly and asked for a application update, thry said our broker uploaded some info on property on the 22nd which the underwriter asked for and said I should hear by this Thursday(hopefully)0

@Bessant31 the wait is killer isn't it! My valuation was done today so really hoping we hear by the end of the week. Working day 12 today.0
