Nationwide Mortgage

First time posting here, but like many been lurking and getting experience of others is helping keep a bit sane!
Going through Nationwide as a FTB through a broker, like most trawling for any info. Seems to be different for everyone. My timeline:
Jan - April - House hunting, MiP for borrowing produced through broker in Feb.
13/04 - Made offer on house
14/04 - Offer rejected - Adjusted my offer
15/04 - Offer accepted
16/04 - Sales Memo gone out.
16/04 - Application processed through Broker - Submitted Payslips, Proof of deposit etc
16/04 - Soft Credit Check pass,
16/04 - Text message from Nationwide saying they had received application
21/04 - Chased Broker as no updates, Broker advised me Nationwide can take up to 5 working days to process.
25/04 - Hard Credit Check by Nationwide.
I've contacted broker again to ask for update as obviously I knew the Hard Credit check would be done. But no mention of valuation, so not sure if they do that before or after? Seems from here it differs on a case by case basis.
Still exciting and terrifying journey so far! I'm really trying hard not to overthink or stress too much.0 -

Broker seems fairly confident I should know tomorrow or Wednesday what's the verdict from my Mortgage. Quite nervous but hopefully should all go fine! Broker assured me that finances are good and having a 21% deposit should have no issues.1 -
Good luck adsta😊. It’s a horrible long process but worth it in the end.
I hate this limbo time when everything goes so slow.0 -
@Adsta wishing you lots of luck! We are hoping to hear Weds too, fingers crossed for you!0

Good luck to everyone hoping for news this week!
I've had an email from my broker this morning advising our valuation has been approved so that's a relief. No text from NW about it but from reading this thread it seems their messages can be pretty random.
They haven't done a hard credit check yet as far as I know so I guess that's the next step. I'm hoping they won't have any additional queries or need more documents so once it goes to the underwriter we can get a decision pretty quickly. 🤞🏻
My updated timeline:
Mon 19th April - broker scored the application and it passed (DIP?)
Mon 19th April - soft search by Nationwide on Experian (ID check) and Transunion and Equifax (quotation searches)
Tues 20th April - full application submitted
Tues 20th April - text message received to say valuation booked for 22nd April
Thurs 22nd April - text message received to say valuation report received and awaiting review
Tues 27th April - broker emailed to say valuation approved
I wonder if we'll be lucky enough to get another update by the end of this week! I hope so.0 -
We’re awaiting some new documents to be checked and our MA advised NW are taking 4-5 working days but we’re now at 7 working days, has anyone had a similar experience?0

I'm at 8 working days now with Nationwide. I'm hopefully expecting an update today (according to my broker) I've pinged the broker a chaser today as well just to try get something. I'm guessing NW are doing a lot of mortgages at the moment, they do seem a popular choice from what I've seen.1

Indeed I've been told similar from my broker.
I've been told they have signed off all my documents and are happy with everything. They just need to sign off the valuation and broker is hoping they will go straight to offer. Broker warned they may have follow up questions, but seem fairly confident in my application.
I've been told if I'm lucky I might get something Friday. But more than likely next Tuesday (damm bank holiday monday....)0
