Great news! Hopefully you'll hear sooner rather than later.🤞 I've read so much about down valuations it's got me nervous! I hope my broker is able to update me today otherwise it's going to be an anxious wait this weekend.

@Bessant31 brilliant news! Fingers crossed for an offer early next week 😊
  • I’m getting very antsy as I hate waiting on things out of my control. We’ve gone through a broker so had our DIP before we even started viewing property so we knew what we may be offered. Going for a new build borrowing £30k less than our DIP with 85% LTV.

7th April - Full Application submitted
14th April - Text to say valuation booked for the 23rd
16th April - Hard Credit Check
23rd April - Valuation presumably done but no confirmation of anything

I can’t stop scrolling through these threads because it’s the only concrete information I have on nationwide mortgages! I’m hoping that the valuation gets submitted Monday and we know something soon.

Took 2 months to get my mortgage offer  partly because my valuation and homebuyer report was done at the same time and was done 4-5 weeks after the initial application
  • Just thought I would offer our timeline.

FTB 90% LTV (with half gifted deposit)

We went through a broker. Borrowing x3.6 our joint salary.

    13/04 - DIP
    15/04 - Full Application
    19/04 - Valuation booked for 23/04
23/04 - Valuation & Home Buyers report done
    23/04 - Valuation Received
24/04 - Email & Text to say Mortgage offer issued

At no point have I received an alert of a hard credit check.

@Tay1309 sounds like its been pretty painless! Hoping when we have our valuation next weds underwriting will be done so they can issue our offer once they receive the valuation report back 🤞

I hope conveyancing goes just as smoothly for you and you will be in your new home soon 🏡

I had no confirmation of valuation done where others had texts, best to ring them direct and ask for a application update.

I am reading this and getting increasingly concerned.  My buyer is with nationwide.  Two weeks now and no one has asked for access to the house to do the valuation.

@Redwino222 for valuation they don't need to come inside, they just look from outside and compare to sales of similar properties in the area. Ask your EA to chase what's happening with the buyers if you want an update 😊
