@cazhippo is it perhaps something on your statement rather than your credit report? Do you make any regular payments that could look like repaying an informal arrangement with someone?

@Bessant31 good news! Sounds like you are with the underwriters now so fingers crossed you'll know something by end of this week/early next.

My broker forgot to send my latest payslip so they asked for this today. Hopefully we won't wait too long for them to re-look at the case dor document checking and then we can move to underwriting too.
I ended up giving my broker 6 months wagselips as I was off sick from 4th December - 4th February but the lender wanted a back to work wageslip so had to wait for this so the application got delayed also had to get a back to work letter from my employer 🤦‍♂️ nightmare

@Bessant31 that is a nightmare! Looks like you are well on your way now though.

I was mega organised and sent my broker everything in advance but she forgot to attach my March payslip so back to the documents queue i go. Looks like a 5 working day wait so it will be next Weds probably before I get any further  🙄 Let me know how you get on 😊
  • First time buyer so I have no idea of the time scale on such things. I've gone with Nationwide for a mortgage my time line so far:

    07/04/2021 - DIP
    07/04/2021 - Application Submitted
    09/04/2021 - Mortgage Valuation booked
13/04/2021 - Valuation received (Text and email)
Since then myself and my broker has heard nothing. I've had no hard credit checks on my report.

Going off previous posts I should have at least had a hard credit check done, but I've not had anything.
Would it be worth bumping this with the mortgage broker or just let things sit?

I've had issues with Halifax in the weeks prior to applying with Nationwide, so I've had the estate agents getting a bit flappy.

The process seems different for everyone,

    11th - Application Submitted
    12th - Valuation Booked For 13th
    13th - Valuation Booked For 14th
    19th - Hard Credit Check
I've had no text or email regarding if the valuation has been done or recieved only that it wss booked for the 14th,

Be good if they had a set procedure but seems different for everyone 🤦‍♂️

    Woohoo, hard search finally done!

My timeliness if it helps anyone is:

10th April - offer accepted and SSTC
12th April - broker submitted application
13th April - valuation booked for 28th April
19th April - NW asked for different doc
    20th April- broker submitted
21st April - hard search done

As the hard search is done, I guess this means document checking is done and its now with the underwriters?

Hoping against hope this is the case so they can (hopefully!) give us our offer after valuation next week 😁

@Bessant31 how are you doing? Not stressing I hope!!
  • Hi all, our application was submitted to Nationwide by our broker on Tuesday (FTBs) so we're now also anxiously waiting! Our timeline so far:

19th April - our broker scored the application and it passed (I'm assuming this is a DIP?!)
19th April - soft search by Nationwide on Experian (ID check) and Transunion (quotation search)
20th April - full application submitted
20th April - text message received to say valuation booked for 22nd April

Then yesterday evening I received an email from ClearScore to say that a new financial association has been created. When I logged in I can see my husband is the new financial association (even though we've had a joint account for over 9 years!) I assumed this must be because Nationwide have done another search this time on Equifax but there's no search showing on ClearScore. Is there a delay in a search showing on ClearScore? I can't think of any other reason why a financial association has been added now if it's not because of the mortgage application.

For those of you who've had a hard search who was this with?

Hoping for good news from the valuation today. Does anyone know when we're likely to hear if it was ok?

I'm really glad we used our broker but I wish I had access to the tracker to be able to check for any updates myself! Although maybe it's a good thing as I think I'd be obsessively checking it!

    Good luck to everyone waiting.
